im currently using blon bl03 version 1 , which is good for valorant but not perfect one. actually what i come to know that every person has its own sound taste regarding his capability of listening , some love bass some hate , some love treble some hates. so i concluded that before buying a new iems just give a 30% conclusion on reviews, 30% on graphs and rest is your risk of buying new iems. but look at graph first and analyze that are you a bass guy or treble guy or if you buying for gaming then you need good treble and good mids and a slightly bass and a best proper sound staging helps directional sounds so keep these things in your mind and you are good to go. and 1 thing more i will definetly give a try to em6l than supermix 4 heard that supermix 4 sound staging is somehow become harsh when sudden frags and guns fires sounds collectively coming from same direction on in team fight supermix 4 become harsh which effect sound staging.

Blon BL-03 was my first real introduction and the only thing I regret is letting the hobbyist and collector mindset consume me. I now have too many IEMs and too little money!

I do not play games online. Mine are all single player games and my Blon bl03i/bl03ii has been phenomenal for gaming.

Blon BL03ii with a fun sound sig for music.

Get the bl03ii. Has more resolution vs 03 and more controlled base. I have both and keep switching between the two.

Two different approaches to the same problem. 03ii is exactly the same as og. The cable connection has receded inside the iem shells, the black one feels nicer to hold in hand, better cable are all the physical things that were changed in 03ii. So you will face the exact same problem with 03ii. Edit: changed word to problem

My journey was something like this: Got Hifiman Re400 Waterline back in 2016. It was neutral. Loved it. One year after the cable insulation fell apart. Audio Technica IM70. Harder hitting bass. Highs were a little subdued. Used it for 2 years. Then the cable connector stopped working and I couldn't find a cable replacement as connector was proprietary. Asked a friend to get me Ibasso IT01 from US in 2019. I do not remember much about its sound. But the connector was mmcx and it sucks. One of the earpiece ended up with a loose connection. Between 2019 and 2021, I got Dunu Dk2001, Obravo Cupids and Bravado. Liked them, specifically Bravado and Dunu. But Bravado had driver flex and it was very bad in that aspect. Sold all of them off. End of 2021 after Covid restrictions were lifted in my country, I had switched jobs and I was looking for some better iems (I could invest some more money into them). Fortunate meeting with a dude (who turned out to be a very good friend later on) made me experience some iems and those blew my mind. And luckily for me, he was looking to sell all of his iems as he was in need of money. Inear PP8. Blew me away. I bought it off him. Then Oriolus MK2 (bought it for my then gf and now wife), Oriolus Mellianus (detail monster without being harsh). Pears SH3. I understood with SH3, it is the tuning that matters and not the number of drivers. Bought both Mellianus and SH3 from him. And all at very good prices. All of this was between 2021 and 2022. Starting 2022, I got a few more iems. Oriolus Isabella. Such beautiful mids. I eqed the lowend. Gave me a lot of joy. Next was Oriolus Szalayi. I was looking for an iem pair with heavy lowend. Sza delivered. It is still my favorite pair. With Isa, I started on the single dd path. I got FAudio Dark Sky next. Wonderful sound. Then I had a chance to buy Inear SD5 wooden shell. Loved it too. Thicker lowend than PP8, but PP8 was still better as an alrounder. I got Letshouer S12 and liked it but the upper mids sounded harsh to me. I changed the cable to one with a mic and it is relegated as my calling iem. I was looking for a cheap but good iem pair that I can use while travelling. Bought Juzzear 61T. Liked it a lot as it has very good lows and mids and highs were good too. My wife liked how it looked and sounded and thus it became her iem. She has two now. Last year I bought both Blon BL03 i and ii for regular use, and they still are my daily driver. And with this I was all done with my iems. I got out. Start of this ear, I started looking into flathead earbuds. Started with VE Monks lite. Then got for myself the Fiio cheap flathead pair. Then two of the Faaeal earbuds and Ry4s. I will get one last earbuds pair sometime later and then drop out. During Corona, I was stuck at my hometown and since I packed lightly hoping that I will be back for work, I packed lightly. But alas, I was stuck at my home for about 2 years without my dap and iem. So, what I have done now is, I have kept most of my favourite iems back at hometown in my room. Rest are with me. This way no matter what and where, I just need to carry my dap and I will always have iems to listen to music.

Blon BL03ii. Cut a bit of the nozzle from any other eartips that you do not use, put it down over Bl03ii's nozzle and then put the eartips that you want to use with the iems.

My first IEM was Blon, the second Hidizs, just curious what did you find more exiting than the MP145? I mean, where did you go from there?

Admittedly from Chifi - got into them during E1001, Whizzer, KZ ZS days and started going down the rabbit hole of "oh this sounds rich, that sounds smooth this neutral that soundstage". 15-20 pairs in, I just got tired of 'chasing' the best sound for the best price because there is always something new and new =/= better. I also worked through dozens of DAC dongles and finally just went TWS for practicality. In hindsight, nothing got me feeling as pleased as my bl03 with foam tips. They sure aren't the the universal best, but to me the sound was so smooth and relaxing. Occassionally I take them out and listen to them at home. But when I'm out and about, I just use my Nothing Ears. But secretly waiting for them to die on me so I can justify a pair of Technics. By the way it's like this with a lot of different hobbies. It's a tiresome cycle but the joys must be worth it for people to do it over n over.

Second this. Having owned a bunch of meta iems (cadenza zero2 gate waner waner2 z300 ew300dsp Explorer), I always have to cycle back to my BL03 after a while. The OG Blon makes me really understand diminishing returns lol (No hate to any other iems, the Blon was just that good 😭)

Because you want good passive isolation, you are going to want to avoid the Gate, the Bunny, the LAN, and the Wan'er. While i am a BIG fan of the Bunny, they might as well be open backed. Same with the Gate. The Wan'er also has a LOT of sound bleed. The Vivace is a little better, followed by the Cadenza, the Zero2 and the Chu 2. Overall, isolation wise, the Chu2 is the best on that list. But i would caution that, if you are going to be in the worship band, sweat is an issue. And 1: Metal Shells and Sweat usually means corrosion. 2: The Cadenza nozzles are WELL known for their corrosion. So...sadly, dont do that. I would look at the Cadenza, or the Zero 1, not the 2. As they have a flatter bass profile, and a little more upper mids presence. Which will fit into the vocal range a little better for actual live monitoring. Some other options i would look at are the TRN MT5, the Simgot EW100p, the BLON BL-03 II, Kinera Celest Wyvern Black, the Remix version if you want more vocal forwardness and less bass, and most importantly, tips tips tips. Get yourself some memory foam tips, and use them, this will GREATLY improve isolation and fit while playing. Or some foam filled silicone tips. To help reject outside sound.

It'll be a tie between blon bl03 and Timeless. Blon because it scales well, takes EQ like a champ and has a soft, "glowy" mids. And Timeless because it sounds detailed and effortless.
