Dual-stage, Organic & Non-Toxic Crib Mattress

I had a very similar experience with our Avocado crib mattress. It was extremely lumpy, and worse with the crib sheet on. When we reached out to Avocado, they refused to accept that it was a defect of the mattress and did not refund us our money, despite us submitting a thorough warranty claim, with pictures and videos highlighting the lumps. I would never purchase from them again, and I cannot recommend them, both due to the customer service issues and poor quality product. We were able to get a partial refund through my credit card company. We also ended up getting a Naturepedic crib mattress and, later, a full size bed for my toddler. No issues at all with Naturepedic.

Sorry to piggyback but I have to issue this warning: DO NOT BUY AN AVOCADO CRIB MATTRESS I can’t recommend any of their mattresses based on my experience with the crib mattress purchase. It was a fn nightmare. The mattress was all lumpy and misshapen and def not sleep safe for an infant. They said I had to wait 30 days to see if it would sort itself out before return period. It didn’t. Then after having it collect dust in my nursery for a month, they wanted me to drive it 1.5hrs away (I live 10 min from the store where I purchased) to donate it. I had just had a baby + major surgery (c section) and that was out of the question. Took lots of time and energy fighting with them to finally get someone to pick it up. Total waste of time / money / horrible customer service experience. Save yourself the trouble. They’re not worth it. *I do like the avocado mattress protector I bought but I think quince has equivalent for cheaper

That is so strange - I got the crib mattress in 2023 and it was perfect. I'm very sensitive to smells and it had zero, and was smooth and firm. I liked it so much I got myself a twin for the baby room, and it's the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. I wonder if they changed their manufacturing at some point.

Fwiw, I have both a queen avocado and a crib size avocado and both have been great. We bought the queen in 2020 and the crib size in 2022.

I have an avocado queen size in my guest room and my baby’s crib mattress is an avocado too and both have been great. The queen is only in the guest room because we got a king size and I wanted an even firmer mattress.

I had an avocado and liked it but prefer a firmer mattress so now I have a “the plank”

I got the avocado mattress designed for children. It’s super firm. Like I almost think it doesn’t need to be that firm. I almost bought the avocado mattress that you are talking about from Costco. I almost wish I had, or at least had the ability to try it out.

I spent well over a year learning about and reading about mattresses. i read thousands of reviews, made phone calls, asked questions, and did everything i could do to learn about what is best. my decision was to get AVOCADO. I also got the wooden bed frame. i cannot tell you how great it is. I have ni words for how wonderful it is. I got it 4 years ago exactly. It is just as good today as on day one. Its beyond perfect. I encourage you to go for it.

We got an avocado mattress and it’s held up nicely for the past five years but I highly recommend giving them a test first, I know everyone is different.
