I bought the black series 3 medium firm, and they're horrible and they sleep extremely hot just like any other memory foam. There's no such thing as cooling technology in memory foam no matter how much they want to spin it - that there is cooling technology. I will sleep with the windows open with a box fan in the window pointing directly at me when it's in the low 40s, and I'm still waking up hot. So I would question if you know what you're talking about. Once you break it in, it lacks support and you have to sleep all over the mattress to properly break in. If you move around in your sleep, memory foam is not for you as it creates imprints, so will feel uneven.
Are you getting a queen or a king because it should only be three grand of queen. Personally I just bought one over a month ago and it takes a lot to break it in. You will absolutely hate it in the beginning. If you sleep hot, also do not recommend getting it. If I could go back I would go back to a traditional mattress.. It'll be super firm until you break it in and you'll have to sleep all over the mattress to break it in properly
The hybrids are not the one they carry in stores. I'm curious about them. I just got the BB series three traditional. It's coming soon, and I'm nervous. As far as the coils go they are supposedly triple braided, which is made to hold up longer from what they say. With that and latex in the in the traditional, I'm surprised to hear about the sagging. Many people have good things to say, and with anything there will be some who aren't happy.
I think the Series 3 is the sweet spot. I'm a side sleeper that normally likes a soft, but the series 3 medium pillow top is super supportive (soft has the plush coils, medium and firm have the firm coils) and there is plenty of pressure relief even in the medium. Of course, everyone sleeps different, which is why they make 9 different feels in the series 3. I can't speak too much towards the hybrids if that's what you're looking for, as I'm not familiar with the series 3 hybrids (and wasn't a big fan of s1 or s2 hybrids). The series 2 in your budget, medium pillow top, it's a good bed, but it's closer to the series 1 than the series 3. They're a lot of money, but they have the warranty, and generally stand behind it. I'm not sure what else you tried, but in that range the only other thing that compares for me is going up to a Tempur Luxe Adapt.
Upgraded to a BRB series 3 medium. Same!
Beautyrest Black Series 3 Medium. Way cooler than the Sealy it replaced.
After 5 days I returned the Brenham! While plenty of foam and comfy, it's not for hot sleepers. Partner said xnay. Traded it in for a clearance Beautyrest Black Series 3 Medium, a MUCH cooler mattress. You rest more on top of the mattress than sinking into it. Beautyrests have a decent layer of latex that helps w the cooling. None of the Sealys I know of have latex. Wish I knew that from the start, but finally landed on the right mattress. 👍
I had a QL injury in lower back, which prompted the hunt to replace our 9yr old BB that was sagging.. just on my side thanks to my 194 pounds lol. I am back and side sleeper only. The wife is stomach - sunk into the foamy Sealy causing the xtra heat. Admittedly the Sealy was 'slightly' more comfy for me. But im quickly getting used to the firmer BB. I figure if I wanted more foam I can get a thicker topper. But the latex in the BB keeps everything cooler, so thats the plus for us.
I hate beautyrest Black medium. There is no support. It's going back after the holidays, even though it's going to cost me in restocking fees.
I bought the beautyrest series 3 firm and love it so much! I tried the avocado as well at their store and found it much softer in comparisson. The BR black series 3 also uses 1.5" latex, foam and has the pocketed coils they are known for. I would go with BR over avocado.
Same! It has to be the series 3 though!
Beauty rest black either series 3 or 4. Firm or medium. Very good mattresses
If i were you i would look at the beautyrest black series 3 medium/plush mattresses depending how soft you like it but for a side sleeper i would suggest going with the medium. It has the cooling you are looking for, memory foam for comfort, latex for support, triple braided coils.
Please dont get the beautyrest black series 3 - i have had it for 6 weeks and its breaking down already.
Im already in the process and wont touch beautyrest again. Im still in 120 night trial - but i have to pay to gave it returned. The pillow top has mountains over 2 inches taller than the rest if mattress.
My mattress was 4k for a queen. It was basically their top of the line for beautyrest.. but definitely decided to go against pillow top on the one i just ordered. I decided to go with an icomfort again.
I picked up a Beautyrest Black series 3 and not only did my pain points disappear while sleeping, I feel more well rested than I ever have in my life. Hated the price tag, but if you view it as prioritizing your health and happiness, it easily becomes worth it.
