Beauty Rest Black 3 Pillow Top.. 2nd one in 25 yrs… Side & back sleeper.. No aches or pains ..Very comfortable.. Very Sound sleep..
It is a plush .. and doesn’t sleep hot at all..very comfortable…
Yeah, I went with a black beauty because the first one made a 12 years I ended up buying a Tempur- Pedic, which totally sucked.. spent almost $10,000 between mattress and bases.. could not sleep tossed and turned body ache shoulders the whole 9 yards so I ended up replacing it with another beauty rest black three plush… the Tempur-pedic was #Warranty so I lucked out after 2 1/2 years … thank my lucky stars on that one. I also heard King coil makes a great mattress. Also good luck on what you purchase… just do not buy a Tempur-pedic please. They’re overrated and not worth it. They are the worst mattress I have ever slept on there. It’s like sleeping on a concrete floor.
I like my beautyrest black 3 plush. I have had it nearly a year. It took some time to break it in and then I needed a new pillow. You sink into it so much that whatever pillow you use will likely prop your head up too high. I need a very low pillow. I have seen a lot of people here saying that it after a while there are permanent divots. Who knows….tbd. Some people have also said these new models have a quality construction that was lacking in previous lines. Idk.im a side sleep and im happy with it.
Generally speaking, innerspring mattresses last the longest of the three different types. Specifically what I mean by that, is that the top comfort layer will hold its shape the longest out of the three different styles of mattress. As far as hybrids go, having coils paired with your memory foam top layers will definitely increase its lifespan to longer than only “all memory foam” options. That being said, there are outliers when it comes to this. Companies like Tempur-pedic use proprietary material in their all foam mattresses that lasts way longer and holds its shape way longer than regular memory foam mattresses would. Tempur-pedic’s newest collections last a good 15 to 20 years as long as you properly take care of them. (Using a waterproof mattress protector to help keep the uric acid from your body sweat from seeping into the mattress, as well as rotating the mattress head to toe every 3 to 6 months) Similarly, Purple uses a hyper elastic polymer gel flex grid in their top layer, and then puts either foam or foam and coils underneath that. The foam and coils will degrade at their natural rate, however the gel flex grid never technically degrades with regular use. Something to keep in mind is that most memory foam/comfort foam materials are pretty similar until you get past the $2000 price point per mattress, which is when they really upgrade in quality. All of that into consideration, my personal favorite mattress is the Beautyrest Black Series 3 plush pillow top. That is the only one I have found that particularly helps my personal health needs, which is primarily based around nerve issues and my limbs falling asleep on me throughout the night. If you are someone who likes a firmer mattress, then this isn’t for you though. It has phenomenal coil support, but is very very soft on the top. In general, Tempur-pedic, Purple, Nectar, and Beautyrest (Serta-Simmons included) have some of the highest rated customer satisfaction rates amongst all other brands.
I’m in the same boat! We’ve returned a beauty rest series three plush pillow top (felt like sleeping in a sink hole with no support) then tried the purple restore premier, which was really nice, just wasn’t the comfort we wanted though for that price, and now I’m looking at getting the Sapria Chill Hybrid or the Leesa Reserve, just so hard to decide!
So, I have a beautyrest black series 3, plush pillow top (king). I really like it *but* it’s sooo tall! It sounds like a silly reason to exchange, but finding sheets that fit and putting them on on my own is an ordeal lol. Any recs for comparable options at a slightly lower price point?
I just posted about the Beautyrest Black Series 3 Plush Pillowtop that I got. It is the comfiest mattress I have ever used. I am so happy with the purchase. I hope it holds up. So far it is perfection.
I think the Series 3 is the sweet spot. I'm a side sleeper that normally likes a soft, but the series 3 medium pillow top is super supportive (soft has the plush coils, medium and firm have the firm coils) and there is plenty of pressure relief even in the medium. Of course, everyone sleeps different, which is why they make 9 different feels in the series 3. I can't speak too much towards the hybrids if that's what you're looking for, as I'm not familiar with the series 3 hybrids (and wasn't a big fan of s1 or s2 hybrids). The series 2 in your budget, medium pillow top, it's a good bed, but it's closer to the series 1 than the series 3. They're a lot of money, but they have the warranty, and generally stand behind it. I'm not sure what else you tried, but in that range the only other thing that compares for me is going up to a Tempur Luxe Adapt.
I've just learned I can't go wrong with a Beauty Rest Plush Pillow Top.
I bought the beautyrest series 3 firm and love it so much! I tried the avocado as well at their store and found it much softer in comparisson. The BR black series 3 also uses 1.5" latex, foam and has the pocketed coils they are known for. I would go with BR over avocado.
Same! It has to be the series 3 though!
