The Beautyrest has been recalled (talk about a crazy ass story behind that), so I'm looking for its replacement. I did have the Intellibed Midnight, but Mattress Firm sent my, bought and paid for bed to Purple, when they purchased Intellibed and their IP; another crazy ass story. Anyways... I would like feedback (actual user/owner if possible) on the following mattresses that I am considering. I appreciate your help. **Beautyrest Black Series Four 17.5" Medium Summit Pillow Top** **Purple Restore Premier Cool Touch 13" Hybrid** **Kingsdown Crown Imperial 16" Firm Euro Top** **Chattam & Wells Fontainebleau 18" Plush Euro Top** **Chattam & Wells Pierrefonds 16" Firm Euro Top**
Good luck! Just remember high price doesnβt mean quality! Iβve had a $4,000 BeautyRest Black Queen size mattress and itβs garbage. Check Amazon for lower priced mattresses first. Iβm never buying another βname brandβ. I can buy lots of cheaper mattresses and change them every year.
cardi's north attlboro, basement.... i paid $350 for a close out beauty rest black, queen.......
We had a queen size beautyrest black for years and it was the best bed we have ever had. ππ It was SO comfortable and my body felt so good sleeping on it (I have previous back injuries). We had a fire in the apartment beneath ours and had to get rid of it due to smoke damage and Iβve missed it ever since.
I've just learned I can't go wrong with a Beauty Rest Plush Pillow Top.
I work at Mattress Firm and we have the Beautyrest Black series on the floor. I actually see a lot of back and side sleepers (especially with lower back pain) do well on it. It has strong coil support for the low back but still enough cushion on top for shoulders and hips, and it doesnβt have that βstuckβ memory foam feel. Also totally fine on a solid platform.
Because each series literally adds more materials + more advanced support tech + more cooling layers + more labor to build. So the cost to make it (and the performance) goes up each level.
Itβs only good for about 4 years though. First one was replaced just at 4 years, the centre caved (we are 130lbs & 180lbs and do not sleep in the middle of the mattress) and beauty rest warrantied it with the same mattress (they change the mattress name, but it was the same mattress) and right at 4 years, now itβs caved again where literally no one sleeps. It has to be by design. Beauty rest is absolute garbage. Thinking about a bed in a box quite seriously at this point
simmons black is the way to go
We have a beautyrest black pillowtop and we bought a 3 inch memory foam topper.
So I recently tried the Brentwood- really nice mattress but didnβt feel like it would hold up in the long run- retuned- good customer support. I have a Helix midnight luxe in my guest room. Good mattress but I also donβt think this would hold up after a lot of time. Tried beatyrest black- really disappointed- and I returned- finally settled in sterns and foster and I am very happy. Im a back and side sleeper. Went with the medium pillow top Lux Estate. Expensive but worth it.
