r/Costcoany fellow stomach-sleepers find a mattress at Costco you're happy with?

Using the blackice Nadia by beauty rest. Worked well for 5yrs so far, though thinking to change for a new one by summer. Partner is a back sleeper and still likes the bed. I’m a committed stomach sleeper and absolutely loved the bed for past 5 yrs. But in last few weeks my arms are getting numb. I’m rotating in bed more. I’m waiting for more reviews on the black hybrid one. Report back if you find a good one

r/FrugalBest mattress under 1000 dollars that actually last? I'm done with fugazis/lemons

I second this! I’ve owned two Beautyrest mattresses in the past 13 years. The first one lasted 8 years and I’m 5 years in to the second one. I never got an extra topper (which may have given the first one more life) but it’s such a comfy bed. I go pretty firm on it too. Will buy it again when ready.

r/GoodValueBest pillow top mattress options - quality AND longevity?

We recently stayed in a rental that had a Simmons Beautyrest Black Hybrid and it was just about the best week's sleep we've had in ages. I don't know what "trim level" it was, though. But we have a flipping expensive TempurPedic at home and I liked this other one better.

r/ehlersdanlosBest type of mattress?

I personally like a soft mattress. But what I've found is there are too types of soft mattresses: mush and truly soft. Mush you get in and can't get back out. This is the Beauty rest Black line at the Brick (Canada) Truly soft are medium firm mattresses with great foam tops like Beauty Rest Trilliant at Sleep Country. Mush is awful but a supporting mattress with a cloud top is a thing of beauty. I had a mattress like this several years ago, amazing. Then I switched to medium firm on medical advice. Big mistake. My body likes to be held but my joints like to be whispered to. I am a side sleeper with a little back until the sleep apnea chokes me awake.

r/MattressBest company for natural mattress?

A "natural" mattress is going to have a bunch of connotations. 1st by Federal law, every mattress and foundation must have fire retardant layers. Most organic materia that would be suitable for beddingl is not fire retardant. 2nd, most natural materials that are comfortable tend to breakdown faster than man made materials. Beautyrest tried putting a layer of silk, alpaca wool and cashmere into the last generation of Beautyrest Black in order to make their product more competitive with the trend. It failed so bad that people still think all beautyrest black mattresses are bad, even though the line got discontinued a year or so ago. The unfortunate truth is that to get natural materials in a bed that are both durable and comfortable, you end up at high end mattresses like the higher end Kingsdown lines and even then they're not ALL natural Just like latex that's actually natural and durable, it becomes cost prohibitive after a point. Certipur certification is the Standard for ensuring there's no VOCs and that a mattress won't be hazardous to your health. Im also personally skeptical of any warranty period longer than a manufacturer has existed. (Looking at practically all DTC beds) Especially when the manufacturer has affiliate links on every click bait article about mattresses. Note: these are my opinions as a long time employee of a very large mattress retailer.

I found my current mattress from a wholesale shop here in Atlanta. I've had it for 5 years now, but it's starting to sag a bit. I'm getting my brand new Beauty Rest Simmons mattress delivered tomorrow. I paid under $500 for it from Mattress Firm. Also as everyone else has said, check out FB Marketplace.

Most mattresses have non-prorated warranties. Some are 7 - 10 years. Typically you’ll pay tax and delivery and get a credit for what you paid for that mattress. They call the process re-select at RTG. . It’s sad that these mattresses don’t last longer and it’s just a pain to make a warranty claim but so far we’ve gotten 4 mattresses in 10 years (upgraded along the way). Thanks for the reminder our king size BeautyRest sags about two inches even though the sales girl claimed there was extra support “for when you come together in the middle”. That’s our code phrase now.

r/MattressI Spent Almost $4,000 With The Goal of Never Having to Get a New Mattress

Winkbeds Luxury Firm is great. That is their OG hybrid; they have the Luxury firm, the firm and then the Plus (for people over 200 pounds). I love the firm; but the man that delivered my mattress and has a back problem worse than mine said he loves the Firm - Firm, not the regular firm. Anyway; hates the Beauty Rest Black and I could not return it - big mistake. For me I needed some lumbar support but relief for my shoulders and hips. It was like a rock under my neck. Did not break in. Winkbeds is a great mattress company!

This. It sucks but the best thing to do is go spend an hour at least trying out different beds in person. If you go off only bad reviews you will never find a new bed. Find a store that has good reviews about the salespeople there, and let them guide you. They are there to help. Helping you helps them make money, so it’s in their best interests to get it right the first time. Understand certain bed’s quirks, like tempur-pedics take time to break in, Beauty Rest Black have been get lots of returns etc.

It’s all what you like. We got a Brentwood home oceano a couple of years ago and love it. It is made in the USA and has a 25 year warranty. It has like a 1 year trial to send it back. I really liked the beauty rest black in store and found that this was comparable. We ended up strongly preferring this one.
