Beautyrest Black - Series One Extra Firm

Well, I haven’t laid on the firm saatva, but have laid on an extra firm BR Black series 1. So how firm do you want it? And in this context when you say firm, I’m assuming you want the bed to feel hard.

Bought extra firm 6 years ago. The mattress is in very good condition but it is Extra firm. I got a latex mattress topper from Amazon and it helped a lot. Mattress is Beauty Rest, I don’t remember the latex one but it was a small business on Amazon

For the mattress, Simmons BeautyRest Extra Firm 13 3/4 inch height. Different stores have different names, so go by the height.

I second this! I’ve owned two Beautyrest mattresses in the past 13 years. The first one lasted 8 years and I’m 5 years in to the second one. I never got an extra topper (which may have given the first one more life) but it’s such a comfy bed. I go pretty firm on it too. Will buy it again when ready.

$800 Beautyrest innerspring mattress, firm. No idea what model. Bought it the furniture store 8 years ago when we bought the bed. It’s getting time to replace and I’ll just be looking for another basic spring mattress. I’m not very particular. As long it’s firm and springy, I’m good.

On our 2nd Beautyrest Black (firm king) because the first was replaced under warranty when it sagged and this one is sagging, too. We both weigh less than you. I regret it. Felt great new but by 6 months in both times there was a huge hump in the middle and deep depression where we sleep. *GONG"

My FIRM Beautyrest Black is amazing!

I personally like a soft mattress. But what I've found is there are too types of soft mattresses: mush and truly soft. Mush you get in and can't get back out. This is the Beauty rest Black line at the Brick (Canada) Truly soft are medium firm mattresses with great foam tops like Beauty Rest Trilliant at Sleep Country. Mush is awful but a supporting mattress with a cloud top is a thing of beauty. I had a mattress like this several years ago, amazing. Then I switched to medium firm on medical advice. Big mistake. My body likes to be held but my joints like to be whispered to. I am a side sleeper with a little back until the sleep apnea chokes me awake.

I'm surprised so many people are saying four seasons, that's just a Simmons beautyrest. Same as the Ritz- Carlton; stayed at one on Monday and both of us were surprised that we didn't find the bed very comfortable there.
