If your budget allows, I’d recommend going for the higher-end models from brands designed for sleepers with bigger bodies(like Big Fig or Titan). Their premium versions usually add features like pillow tops or cooling covers, so you get strong support without that overly hard, uncomfortable feel. They tend to land around a medium-firm range and are built to hold up well over time. For more specific recs, I have the Titan Plus Elite myself and it was 10000% worth it. The Big Fig Luxe made me want to buy it when I tested it also. And, if you would prefer the firmer feel, the Titan Plus Core is less plush but still super supportive without being rigid.

If you really like it and it's in budget, the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-LuxeBreeze is solid and should hold up, I'd get that if you're able to in person (depending how hassle-free the return policy is). If you just need an supportive mattress that functions fine on a basic bed frame, I'd put my money on one of the Titan Plus beds. The base model (Core) is affordable and holds up really well. I have the Titan Plus Elite myself because I was having a similar sagging problem with the mattress I had before it, and I can't praise it enough. I know it's not convenient, but online mattresses typically offer an at-home sleep trial so you can return it if you don't like it. Good luck!

Yep, Big Fig is another good one. If I had to buy a mattress now, I'd go with whatever is cheapest/has the best promotion going between those two (and has the best trial policies incase it's not a fit).

I DO NOT recommend big fig. They are SO uncomfortable. I got the luxe which is supposed to be the softest ones they have and this shit is like sleeping on the floor. My back hurts so bad I’ve actually bought 2 pillow tops in hopes of salvaging it. I’ve had it for a month so I can still send it back but getting it was a fuckin nightmare to begin with I don’t wanna deal with getting another mattress if I can make this work. It also sags on the edges like a mf. I’ll actually slide off if I don’t sit ALL the way back with my knees to the mattress. I weigh 275 now so I’m not even near the top of their market demographic considering they’marketing these to people 500lbs+. It has not been pleasant in MY experience

i have the big fig luxe and am a slide sleeper who is hypermobile and i love it! it doesnt have a dent after 10 months (unheard of for my mattresses) and is soft enough on my joints. if its not soft even with the luxe you can buy the soft topper as well

imo "cooling gel" is marketing fluff since foam in general tends to trap heat no matter how many buzzwords they slap on it. if you’re a legit hot sleeper, airflow is everything. latex and hybrids with coils both do way better because there’s space for air to move I run hot too and ended up switching to a hybrid from Big Fig and it’s literally one of the most favorite adult things I've ever bought. the coils keep it breathable and it’s firm enough that you don't sink in and overheat

I have a Big Fig. I bought the bed and the bedframe. The bed is made for the fuller figure. If you weigh over 200 pounds, it's for you. On the scale it is a seven. It's on the firmer side, but it has a 10 year warranty. The bedtime has a remote and it will fold up like a taco. It's handy when I can't sit up because of the pain. The mattress is a hybrid. It has more springs than a normal mattress with a foam top. The whole thing ships and my hubby put it together and set it up in less than an hour. Well worth the money. Bigfig.com

It took a few nights for me and hubby to get used to it too. I saved for three months every spare penny I could to buy our Big Fig, but it was worth it. I would do it again After having this bed for several years, it barely shows wear.

If you wear the edges get a big fig because it's firmer than titan luxe and the edges are actually firm. In the titan not only are the edges less firm but there's a weird disconnect between where the actual edges are and where you think they are causing me to fall a couple times until I understood how to sit on it LOL. Buy big fig but ALSO buy a topper because it will hurt due to how firm it is. A 3 inch topper and big fig is your best bet for longer lasting firmness and less pain when your break it in

I have a big fig and I mostly love it but it's a very firm mattress. I even tend to like a pretty firm mattress but I had to add a mattress topper to soften this one. With the topper I'm on it, it's super super comfy, but I had a hard time side sleeping on this mattress without the topper. The big fig base is also very good.

Had our big fig for about four years! My max weight was just under 500 and no indent. It’s on the firmer side and so comfortable. I also have their adjustable base and recommend it as well. Will repurchase when it’s time even if I we don’t need the high weight limit by then.
