Can confirm that this mattress is fantastic.
I'm really happy with my Birch mattress. Eco friendly and comfy too. Look up "Birch natural mattress review sleepline" on Google. Its the best review I found for it that actually says both good and bad things about it.
I think with mattresses it is hard to find a blanket statement of what works for everyone. Rather it's about understand what you value as a sleeper and what type of build and materials works best for you. That said, more natural materials or builds are most definitely worth the hype- as long as the brands themselves actually do what they advertise. This is where looking deeper into the brand comes into play. Wool and other natural materials can be awesome for some hot sleepers because it helps with airflow. I'm a hybrid lover and really hate latex or memory foam for me-that doesn't mean I shoot it down for everyone. Memory foam makes me sweat like a husky in a Floridian summer. But give me a hybrid or a Birch with natural materials (they have the certifications) and I'm happy as a Bear in hibernation. Ok, enough with the animal anecdotes, you get my point. Some brands market like crazy but if you dig deeper they don't have the materials or certifications to back up their marketing claims. Others are really all that and their mattresses are great. I have personally tried the Birch and I love it, but I know there are other brands as well that people love for their natural builds and materials, mainly people that are looking for natural materials because they are hot sleepers. So, if you understand 'why' you're looking for a 'natural' mattress, you can understand exactly if a natural mattress is going to address your issues, and then research the backing behind the mattress' claims. Hope that makes sense! It's late night and I feel like I rambled here.
My two favs are the Birch and Awara
I’ve had mine about 2.5 years. Side sleeper, so I did get the topper. Still feels great!
I bought a birch mattress a year and a half ago. It was a little firm for me as a side sleeper but I got a sleep on latex topper and the combination is perfect so I'm happy with it.
Birch has a good natural mattress for kids.
Birch Natural is a genuinely good pick for allergies, latex coils cotton and wool are all naturally hypoallergenic so you're in good territory there. The main difference with the Luxe is just the added pillow top and extra latex layer so if you want more surface cushioning it's worth the upgrade, if not the regular is fine. If you want another certified option to compare maybe check out Brooklyn Bedding's EcoSleep Luxe too, organic cotton and natural latex with eco credentials so it checks the same boxes at a different price point.
