I bought the Thermo Balance Elite in medium. I’m very happy with it. I tried the non-elite and it felt similar but slightly less supportive overall, and the zoned coils felt slightly different. I also tried the Latex version, and it felt similar to non-elite but way softer and more conforming. The TB Elite in medium checked all the boxes for me. The Helix Midnight Elite (same parent company) was phenomenal IMO and I almost bought that. TBE just had less movement I could feel when my partner moved and felt slightly cooler - so those things clinched it.
So the TBE does have zoned coils and awesome lumbar support. The only bed I tried that was as good was Saatva RX and Helix Elite but I could feel movement more on those, and Saatva seemed warmer due to material choices. I was coming from Tempurpedic all foam bed and didn’t want a lot of movement. The TBE has more bounce (great for tossers) and support, but not feeling springy, and basically exactly what I wanted. It just doesn’t have another set of microcoils higher up the stack like Helix Midnight Elite. But the TB elite does has zoned coils and you’ll see that on the BB site as a difference. I also agree that Midnight Elite was softer, and part of why I went with TBE in medium.
I just want to say I just went through this. Ended up buying a Brooklyn bedding co firm hybrid copperflex. They had a sale on there website like 20% off I think? I got so sick of looking I just settled. I got lucky I love it my last matress was so bad... All in all was like 800 if im remembering correctly. I will say though, my old matress was so bad anything was an upgrade. Also just saying anything you see with bad reviews online or 90% of them anyway are the dumbest shit ive ever seen. Look at 3 to 4 star reviews to get a general idea all the people doing one and five star reviews are either insufferable people or paid advistisers (if on Amazon anyways) Either way have had it for 3 months now its been good for a side and stomach sleeper
I need some genuine recommendations. I have searched and search all over the Internet and watched multiple videos. I am truly looking for something that’s healthier and that doesn’t have a lot of chemicals. So far I really like these brands: Avocado - I really like the feel of their luxury mattress, but I’ve heard that there’s a lot of sagging on avocado mattresses really on in the mattress life. They’re also the most expensive one. Looking at 5k+ Naturepedic - I love the clean certifications at this brand offers. I haven’t found another mattress company that offer offers as many clean branding. They have a modular system and I worry because I’ve heard there is sagging in the middle of the mattress because they are essentially individual sides. Think of like 2 twins. 5k for price. Brooklyn Bedding - I loved the price and feel of the thermobalance. The sales representative said that they don’t use toxic materials, but I could not find the certifications when looking on the site. Looking at 2k. No, these are all king-size pricing. I was like input on any of these brands! I’m really trying to have a clean living space. Thanks! Edit: I also tried the Stearns & Foster Luxe soft pillow top and liked it. But I have a feeling it has a lot of chemically based materials in it.
Yeah I really liked it for the price point of the TB. I definitely like soft and I think I prefer foam over latex, but I am trying to go more natural. I wish My Green Mattress had a showroom out here to where I could try it. I can’t buy a bed without testing it first. Thanks for your input. I might go ahead and try the Brooklyn.
I have a spinal fusion and I'm a side sleeper; if a mattress doesn't have the right amount of "give" my hips and shoulders kill. I've sworn by the "soft" rated Brooklyn Bedding mattresses for years now. You sink in enough but not so much you feel like you have no support. It's a mix of latex and memory foam with a thick topper which I think makes a big difference. I've tried many of the store brands and bed in box brands and I haven't found anything as good.
Brooklyn bedding hybrid, I'm now a big fan of hybrid foam/spring mattresses for support and longevity (our previous memory foam mattress from Ikea now definitely has a person shaped hollow in it)
I have a Brooklyn bedding medium mattress that is comfy for side sleeping! I’ve been cosleeping with baby on it since she was 7 months old.
