I'm a side sleeper and have the Costco Casper Select in medium firm, which they don't sell anymore, at least in Canada. However, my husband, also a side sleeper, just bought the Casper Dawn, which comes in medium firm and extra firm and he likes it. He got medium firm.
I got my Casper Select mattress in medium firm from Costco some years ago. It's 14". It's held up beautifully but Costco no longer sells it, at least in Canada. My husband just bought the Casper Dawn mattress directly from Casper and says it feels the same as mine, however it is only 9" compared to my 14" Casper Select. I've heard that Novaform is highly rated by Costco customers.
I’ve owned both the Casper and Novaform memory foam mattresses. Loved them both. Went with 3 Casper’s for my new house and am very pleased with the comfort and sleep quality I’m getting
Do you have Casper in SA? We’ve had two mattresses from them and been really happy. The first was a firm queen, which we thought would soften over time but it never really did. My husband loved it, but I wanted something softer. It’s now our guest bed. We second one we got was a California King medium firmness with a cooling top and it’s been really comfortable for the 2 years we’ve had it! We bought them both from Costco.
All of those mattresses are memory foam type mattresses. That's oil based and bad for the environment. Also hot AF in the summer. I work in the bed trade. For decent value natural filled mattresses, Highgrove are great. If you have a high budget, try out Harrison Spinks, which are vastly more comfortable, 100% natural and chemical free, plus 100% recyclable.
The downside of this is that the returns rate for Simba/Casper/Emma is horrendously high. All that foam, where does it go? Those mattresses aren't resold.
If you did ok with Leesa that long, why not another? The same company (3Z’s) who makes Leesa also makes Brooklyn Bedding (my favorite), Helix (also great but pricey), Nolah (best value and still quite good), Bear, and some others. I liked the Leesa Legend Chill, but really disliked their other beds. It felt cheaper than other lines they make. The Brooklyn Bedding Thermo Balance Elite was my favorite bed I tried, and what I bought. I’m extremely happy with it. Helix Midnight Elite was my second favorite, but pricier. Saatva RX was quite good, but even more expensive than Helix. Nolah Evolution was the best quality low cost option I tried ($1450 for a king), but I was willing to pay more for their highest quality offerings. Casper was ok for all foam, and exceeded my expectations at a solid price point. I hated nectar, because I could feel springs on the side and any partner movement. Purple will either be loved or hated, but feels weird to me. Simmons Beauty Rest had a lot of great options, but was pricey, though I preferred this to newer and in some cases more expensive Sealy models under the same umbrella. Tempurpedic was what I had before Brooklyn Bedding, and I think they are excellent, but they’re very expensive and not necessarily better at double the price.
Love my foam mattress- Endy, Casper- there are lots. I got a great frame from Costco that was reasonably priced. New so no bed bugs
I am a fan of the Casper one they sell, it solved my lower back pain very quickly.
It’s all foam and I haven’t had it for very long yet so we’ll see about longevity. It’s not a very firm mattress for me but I’m pretty big at 225lbs. It has a zone comfort where it’s supposed to be firmer around the top and bottom of the bed and lighter around the center so your hips and backside don’t get contorted as you sleep. This is the only bed I’ve found comfortable enough to sleep on my back.
That is the one I have. It’s still been good to me since I bought it.
Think i've had 10, yes 10 different mattresses since living here for the past 8 years. What I figured out is that all of the "solid foam" style mattresses here are horrific, the ones that feel good at first will kill your back in a matter of 2-3 months as the foam wears out around the middle of the bed where your hips sit. I ended up getting an inner spring mattress at JYSK, for half off during black friday and havent slept this good in years. Its been 6 months now and no issues. I tried tempurpedic, casper, ikea (3 different), bett1, and 3 different ones from a local mattress place.
