Girrrrl, thank you! I’m quirky anyway so I’ll add awkward! lol I mean, I would lay on it if I could find one to try! lol Oh and this makes sense! I had an innerspring bed and added a 3 inch topper from Costco until I found the right mattress. The Casper Nova Hybrid now snow was like sleeping on a cloud… all my friends loved it. But ehhhh sex was not great. lol sex on a cloud. Hahaha Anyway, avocado and Leesa may work, going to order frame and try to move as much stuff around as possible to try it. The sale prices were extended through the 7th. Phew lol but I know they go on sale often. Thanks so much!!!! Cheers to awkward!!
casper nova hybrid is underrated for back sleepers specifically
LOVE our Casper Nova king. Around $2,000
In my house we have an assortment but all have zoned support: Layla memory foam and Layla hybrid. I prefer the Layla memory foam mainly because I have nerve pain issues with foam that is responsive or with coils that are too firm, so I prefer memory foam. I love the zoned support, and Layla’s mattresses are flippable with soft on one side and firm on the other. I should mention that zoned support not only gives your lower back more support, but also means that it’s softer foam under your shoulders, which I appreciate. We also have the Helix Luxe Sunset - softest model by Helix for side sleepers. I think Helix has reformulated their luxe models since we bought ours. Helix zoned support comes more from coils so it’s a little firmer whereas Layla’s zoned Support is more foam based. Also we have a Casper Nova hybrid, which has excellent zoned Support in my opinion and is very soft, but it has the foam that is the most responsive of all the mattresses that we have, which some people prefer and some don’t.
This is exactly, EXACTLY what happened with my $2000 Casper. A lot of people on here love the crushed boxed mattresses, but I would never buy one again unless it’s from Costco (and can be returned for free for virtually any reason at any time). Casper made every excuse in the book to replace it. I replaced it with a Beautyrest (on sale for $200) and it’s sooooo much better than my $2K Casper.
In my opinion, the hybrid mattresses are more firm than memory foam mattresses. Of course, it all comes down to personal preference. We prefer a firmer mattress so we went with the Casper Hybrid (we own four of these).
I like a medium firm and this one was perfect for me. It’s been a year now and it’s still holds about the same
bf and i bought the hybrid casper 4 years ago. its the comfiest mattress either of us have ever use. when we stay elsewhere, all we talk about is how much we miss our own bed lol. we’ve made sure to turn it every 6ish/12ish months (depends when we remember) to help with longevity. its still in good shape, but i will say in about another yearish it will probably be sagging eta: on sale right now
To be fair my bf doesn’t think it’s changed at all. I definitely feel that it’s softer, but maybe it won’t actually be sagging in a year or two. Apparently the padding does get softer after awhile, so maybe that’s all i’m feeling. Regardless, we’ll be casper buyers for life because it’s so damn comfy
