So my first "big boy" bed when I moved out was the Sealy Optimum Memory Foam when I first moved out. It was okay, but was too firm and I realized that I should have spent a bit more on the softer model. I worked at Sears in mattresses, and I got the deal of a lifetime for a brand new Tempur-Pedic Cloud Supreme Soft and Ergo Adjustable Base. I got them both for around $500 with tax. That was my taste of high end mattresses, and while it wasn't as soft as I would like, it was the BEST mattress I ever had. It lasted me right up until 2020 (10 years) which it was still fine... I was just convinced by my coworker to get a Sleep Number and use my one time 80% employee discount code for a new mattress. Which 80% off an $8,000 mattress sounded great, and they convinced me that it was better and I would sleep cooler which was my only complaint I had with Tempur. Well... it came and I stupidly said "Haul it away, I'm going to love my new Sleep Number.".... first night... I loathed that mattress. It was just a glorified air mattress, and that's all I could feel. It even felt firmer than my old Tempur. I regretted my choice, and was basically stuck with it. Sleep Number did give me a mattress topper to make my i8 even softer, but it still felt like an air mattress and just wasn't comfortable. When I got a job at Casper Mattress, after a few months of working I got a free Original Mattress. Which felt better than Sleep Number, but was firmer than I liked. So I used the topper Sleep Number gave me to at least make it work. Still wasn't perfect, but at least I could turn on my side without having to lift myself up and feel the whole mattress move. When Casper did a contest for a free Wave Hybrid Snow, I went rabid. I knew my luck was awful and that I would lose, but I had a plan. I would sell so much for the next two months that Casper would feel bad and give me the Wave Hybrid Snow. I legit told every customer that there's a contest, and even if they don't want to buy a mattress but wanted to buy a pillow or sheet set, not to do it online but come see me. I was the number one sales person for those two months.... and I did lose the contest. My manager did the math, I had an 87% chance of winning, and I lost to someone who literally had one ticket in the raffle. However, my plan worked. Casper gave me the Wave Hybrid Snow because one region didn't have anyone sell enough to even be entered in the raffle. So they gave me the one that would have been given to that region. The Wave Hybrid Snow was better, cooler and more comfortable to lay on. However, a year and a half later I had to do a warranty claim. Which Casper kind of put up a fight with because they said I won the mattress, so it was free. I pushed back, saying that it was a horrible defect and I was using their Adjustable Base Max (when I won the mattress I upgraded my adjustable base as well for the massage) and that the whole front end of the mattress caved in. Eventually, they replaced it. When I got a job working at Tempur-Pedic. I was toying with the idea of just upgrading to the LuxeBreeze Soft and the new ProSmart Adjustable Base. However, I didn't really have a reason and the Wave Hybrid Snow was fine. I didn't want to be one of those people who upgrade their mattress every year or two. Well, someone ran a red light a t-boned me. Totaled my Mustang, sent me to the ER from the scene of the accident, and I was in horrible condition. When I got home, my body just HATED my mattress. What was fine before just hurt, it felt like I was on a rock. I was in so much pain, that any pressure on my sides just hurt. So that was my excuse to just upgrade for the LuxeBreeze Soft. I have had my LuxeBreeze Soft since 2024 and it's been amazing. I don't wake up hot, I don't wake up in pain, I can fall asleep quicker than I ever did before. So long story short, yes... a really great mattress is worth it.

Nah, I just like helping people. I started right after high school, and I just liked working with people to find what works best for them. If I really wanted a job for the discounts, I would have got something in the home theater market because I love my Sony TVs… but I feel like I replace those just as easily because something better came out. 😂 I had the Sony A8G OLED, loved it… then Sony came out with a QD-OLED the A95K Master Series and I immediately upgraded to that. However, I really didn’t like that I constantly had to switch the HDMI settings to Enhanced Dolby Vision to Enhanced VRR. So when the newer A95L dropped… I upgraded to that. Now that Sony is coming out with an RGB MiniLED… I’m curious how good that performs… because I’ve been wanting to go from a 65” to a 75”. 😂

Just unwrapped a king. Now to see how this plays out. I couldn’t really find any user reviews. Coming from a Casper Wave Hybrid. Was going to go back to latex but then this one peaked my interest with the responsive foam layer on top and the individual cubes on top of each coil, supposedly creating a one-firmness-fits-all.

# UPDATE: 1 WEEK on the Tiami Mattress Just some context... I'm 5'7", 160 lbs, athletic build. My wife is 5'6", 140 lbs, average curvy build. We are both heavily side sleepers but also sleep in other positions. **FIRMNESS** When you stand next to this Tiami and press your hand down on top, it feels plush. Your hand immediately squishes in. But when you lie down on it, it definitely feels firmer. If anyone is familiar with the "float on top" feel of a latex mattress, this is very similar to that. But what I noticed is that the heavier parts of you, like the buttocks/hips, sink right in, while the light parts of you, like your calves, are floating on top. When lying on my back, I feel equally supported from my shoulders to my heels. If I was to put a number on it, from 1-10 with 10 being firmest, I'd rate this at a 7. Also, this top layer of Energex foam, reacts like latex, not memory foam. The sink in is immediate, as is the push back. There's no climbing out of a hole. Turning over from one side to another is easy. **MOTION ISOLATION** I have not felt much movement from my wife at all. Maybe she's not moving much now? I have no idea. But my sleep has not been distrubed by her movement, at least as far as I can tell. **OVERALL COMFORT** We got the Tiami mattress 7 days ago today, in the evening. We unboxed it and unwrapped it just hours before bedtime. It appeared fully expanded when we went to bed. Each night, as we have gotten used to a new mattress and the mattress breaks in (and probably expanded further) it has gotten more and more comfortable. We are at a point now were we both look forward to getting in it at night. Neither of us has had any discomfort. No pain, tingling, etc. My wife was having back issues with the previous mattress. **SLEEP POSITIONS** This mattress is billed as a one-firmness-fits-all, with its individually foam-cube-topped coils. If you are a strict back sleeper, you will probably love this bed. I have also been very comfortable on my stomach, although I do not spend a lot of time in this position. Side sleeping is the only position I'm currently a teeny bit unsure of, but this may just be a matter of getting used to the new feel. As I said earlier, it's more of a float on top feeling rather than a plush sink-in feeling, so my hips aren't sinking in as much as before. Which is probably a good thing. I have not any ANY discomfort issues. I obviously can't see my spine, but it may be better aligned than it was previously. **OVERALL THOUGHTS SO FAR** We are liking it, and at the moment I believe it's going to be a keeper! We are both comfortable and getting good sleep. We will see how things go over the next few weeks and see how my thoughts on side sleeping progress. I will do a one-month update next. Meanwhile, if you have specific questions, I will do my best to answer them.

Yep, just like most other mattresses. LOL Casper for example... one of their's contains "Align Memory Foam" topped with "Breathe Flex Foam". Tiami is similar with a layer of memory foam topped with their "Energex" foam. All I can say so far is that I had seen somewhere that the Energex layer was compared to latex in responsiveness and although it's been a minute since I've slept on a pure latex mattress, I'd say this top layer does react quite a lot like latex. After a week i'll give some initial sleeping/performance impressions.

I got this at the end of December, and it is the WORST toxic smell AND TASTE ever! Been sleeping on my couch in the meantime dealing with the store. I've had it over one month now. Do not recommend. Casper Wave Hybrid. No.

I had the original Casper and I liked it for maybe 6 months then I thought it sucked. Years later, I somehow talked myself into trying the Casper Wave, and I thought (and still think) it was excellent, but as they note many times in many articles on their website, buying a mattress is largely subjective. Frankly, it's one of the few things I splurge on. Most of the rest of my furniture in my Master bedroom was purchased on Craigslist or eBay (or a relative getting rid of it). Frankly, now that I think of it, virtually all of my furniture in my Master Bedroom came from Craigslist or eBay!

I just bought the snow for 1700 and so far I love it. I’d just recommend going to a store and seeing what fits your vibe. Foam vs traditional (or hybrid) and soft vs firm

I just purchased the Casper snow, because I was looking for a very plush mattress and I'm hating it. I'll probably return it because I find it to firm. What is the absolute most plush mattress in your opinion? I mean, sink right in, soft, sleeping on a cloud plush. Thanks
