Douglas - Douglas Original Mattress

I'm very happy with our Douglas original from 2019. It's maybe a haaaaair softer than preferred, but very comfortable and adequately supportive.

I bought a Douglas original last year. Both my boyfriend and I love it.

I've had my Douglas for almost 3 years now. I absolutely love it. I like a medium to firm, which was the reason I went with Douglas. I had, at the time, reseaeched all of the "box" mattresses and Douglas ticked off all the spots

I just purchased the Douglas original, after shopping and humming and hawing for about a year. I was able to spend a night in one at a friends place and that sold me. I would definitely say it’s on the firm side though. I considered the alpine, but many reviews said it wasn’t really an upgrade and not to bother. I know Douglas just opened a store in Edmonton, maybe check if there’s a convenient location if you’re not near there. I’m sure you could go do some sit testing.

I'm a 6'3, 210 pounds side sleeper and I love my Douglas. If you weigh more than ~250lbs make sure to pay attention to the suggested weight limits for whatever you're looking at. It will determine whether the mattress is suitable for you. Lots of info on mattresses out there, for sleeping styles, weights, etc.

LOVE Douglas. I have a home and a cottage and have bought 10 of them over the years (not kidding). And guests who sleep on them are thrilled and buy their own for their own homes.

We love our Silk and Snow Hybrid. We also have a Douglas and it works but it’s a bit firm for me.
