I personally I’m not a big fan of either. Working in this industry for as long as I have has made me realize how poorly nectar mattresses are put together. They end up sagging within a couple years of buying them, but with that being said… Choose DreamCloud if you want a balanced feel with firmer support, better edge support, and less sink. Choose Nectar Premier Hybrid if you prefer cradling and motion isolation and don’t mind a softer feel (especially good for side sleepers or couples). I’d go down the dreamcloud route. A lot of places are starting to not sell nectars because of their warranties.
I feel you! So the pro adapt is their most popular bed, with that being said the Lux adapt is extremely nice. I would say the biggest difference is the double stacked coil system. It offers 30% more support than the pro adapt does, and in my opinion if you are already spending as much as you are on the pro adapt I don’t see why not upgrade to the Luxe adapt. I wouldn’t say it’s a life-changing difference if I’m being completely honest between the two, but I recently decided to go with a pro breeze and I wish I just spent the extra thousand dollars on the Lux breeze. That’s just my experience though. Tempur is one of the hardest companies to negotiate with because they simply will not. No matter where you go, it is price locked and if I were to sell a Tempur-pedic (even if it’s only $200 cheaper) I would immediately get fired. A lot of brands are becoming extremely strict with negotiating prices, which is a bummer, but that’s just what the mattress industry is turning into.
I have the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid and pretty happy with it. Wife loves it. I like it, I get a little hot by the end of the night. 1 year trial period is pretty great.
I remember being conned into a money back policy in store. The online store are so much easier. I returned an avocado mattress on day 362 of 365. Ended up getting a dreamcloud that we love.
we went with the dream cloud luxe and an adjustable base, have only had about a month, but love it so far. If you order direct you get a 365 day sleep gaurantee and a lifetime guarantee on the mattress so if you arent happy, you can return it. Good luck!
I agree with the comment about s topper. My husband and I bought a $300 spring mattress from Sam's club maybe 13 years ago. After like 8 years we got a memory foam topper from Costco for like $100 and it was pretty amazing! We'd still be using it but we upgraded to a king. We upgraded to a Dream Cloud split king hybrid mattress. We've had it for a maybe a month now and it's been nice! They have a 365 trial period, and I read the fine print and if you don't like it you just call them and they figure out coming to get it. They also have a lifetime warranty. We paid about $1,100 for the split king, but the regular king and queen are less than 1k. If you have a platform bed frame, or one with slats, you don't need a box spring
I got the dreamcloud recently - their more expensive hybrid - and I love it. Wanted plush and soft as well as I’m a side sleeper.
Some brands really do make a noticeable difference. A firm Brooklyn Bedding, Glacier Sleep, Engineered Sleep, or DLX mattress can feel completely different from a firm Amazon, Nectar, DreamCloud, or other imported models, especially those that use lower-quality or lower-density foams. This is where a bit of research and education pays off. It’s not just about how a mattress feels during the first month; it’s about how it performs over time. Mattress build and construction, material quality, foam density, and overall design all influence long-term comfort and support. So, while trying mattresses in-store or taking advantage of trial periods is helpful, understanding what’s inside the mattress can save you from disappointment later. A mattress that maintains its firmness and support over years is worth a little extra attention upfront. Of course to address your question of balancing budget, firmness and comfort may depend on what you consider "budget." Once a budget range is established, age, height and weight along with sleep position, that is when you can move on to an educated way to select your mattress.
I purchased a DreamCloud mattress just over a year ago now and it has been an absolute life saver! I was honestly in between decisions of Big Fig vs DreamCloud but then the prices were better for DreamCloud…. After a year though, we’ve seen no sagging or anything at all even though we tend to hang out on the bed often!
Dream cloud. I’ve bought 3.
I feel your pain! Lower back and then confusing info you get r from some online reviews. I JUST ordered a DreamCloud as recommended by NapLab. Check them out! There are sales going on right now. I blew $1200 on this mattress plus the support from from Amazon for $169. I hope it works! They do have a sleep on it clause so if you don’t like it you can return it. No. The worst part about directly ordering from the website is there is no white glove service like Costco offers and that’s huge when I have to help wrestle a king size bed
Second for the Titan luxe. I had a dreamcloud and it had a divet within 6 months. I've had the Titan almost two years now and it's been great. California King size is worth it too. 270#at my heaviest.
