I just filled out your quiz never got an answer on an AMA so thank you. I’m currently on a dreamcloud premier hybrid I think. I’ll look into these though.
My partner and I have a pretty big size difference and had trouble finding something that felt good for both of us. We ended up going with the DreamCloud Premier and it’s been solid. It’s on the firmer side but still has enough cushioning for side sleeping, and it’s held up really well so far.
I had a highly rated Avocado mattress and retuned it (the company of all products is one of the best I’ve worked with - across the board). The return was due to mattress being too soft). As a heavier person I searched for a mattress for side sleeper suitable for a heavier person. I ended up purchasing a DreamCloud premium hybrid and cannot wait to get it! My suggestion is to consider one with hassle free returns if you do not like after sleeping on it for up to a year. DreamCloud also gave free bedding. Good luck and sleep well.
Tried making a post on the main thread but it kept getting taken down so I guess I'll post it in this thread. I recently moved out and bought a DreamCloud Premier mattress. Right now, it’s on the floor because the Koorlian bedframe I was gifted has slats spaced 4–5 inches apart, and I've been getting some lower back and hip tightness. I’m not sure if it’s the mattress itself or because it’s on the floor. I’m looking for a bedframe with slats 3 inches or less apart and a weight capacity around 900 - 1,000 lbs. I’m currently 170 lbs, but I occasionally do like to run and jump onto the bed when I would play with my dog (I recently lost mine to an ex). I’ve considered using a bunkie board to reduce slat gaps, but the head and foot of the frame have no rail support, so the mattress would still sag in those areas. One idea I had was to buy another Koorlian bedframe, take the slats and side rails, and attach them to my current one which would require cutting the side rails and drilling into my current bedframe (not ideal for me but it's an option). My family suggests I should just buy a new bedframe instead. I’ve been looking at the Martinez Upholstered Wingback Bed, but it only supports 700 lbs. KD Frames are similar — also limited to 700 lbs. I've looked at Thuma however after spending a lot of money on moving, furniture and other things I can't afford anything that expensive at the moment. I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has experience with reinforcing a frame or preferably knows of a bedframe that meets these criteria.
We got a Dreamcloud Premier Hybrid after our first was born. I struggled a lot with our old mattress while I was pregnant, but we couldn’t afford a replacement. Now, 5 years later, it is still the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. I get sad at hotels because they aren’t comfy any more 😂
I don’t recommend dream cloud. I bought their premier mattress and it couldn’t support 2 people. I returned it after 30 days
DreamCloud Premier Hybrid. I believe it was 15 inches. It was firm but not too firm. Still love it. My son bought the one with the Euro top on it because they like a much softer feel. They also are very happy. Hope that helps
We bought a DreamCloud on sale. Great price and we love it.
I'm mostly a side sleeper and my mattress is nice. I got a dreamcloud premier which isblike... the lower tier of what they offer... so it is more firm than the dreamcloud luxe but still very comfortable. Supposedly, dreamcloud premiers are like a 7.5 out of 10 on the firmness scale.
I bought a dreamcloud premier 3 years ago and I love it. I upgraded from an old, saggy, beat up mattress so it took some time to get used to the dreamcloud. My old mattress pretty much felt like sleeping in a shitty hammock because it was so broken/sunken in. My dreamcloud is firm. Not HARD firm, but it is *supportive* firm.
I was in the same boat! At 30 I replaced the mattress I'd been sleeping on since middle school. I bit the bullet and ordered a bed-in-box mattress. I researched so many brands, but ultimately landed on Dreamcloud because they had some pretty good reviews for side sleepers, had a pretty good deal going on, and had a 365 day trial period. I got the Dreamcloud premier. It is very firm. Like a 7.5 out of 10 I feel. I'm 195 pounds and my husband is 180 pounds. I feel like it's got good support for heavier people, but would not be comfortable for someone <160 pounds. Which is not us! Lol. Dreamcloud also has really good customer service (at least in my experience). If you have any other thoughts or questions I'd be happy to answer if I can. I've had mine for 3 years and it's still great.
I've had my mattress for almost 4 years now and I just recently started noticing a little sagging in the shoulder area (husband and I are both mostly side sleepers and I'm on the heavier side). We flipped it around so the head side is now the feet side and vice versa. Problem fixed. I personally have also had nothing but good experiences with dreamcloud customer service. I will say I haven't had to contact them about a faulty product but they were extremely helpful when I had some questions during the break in period.
What is your price range? I have a dreamcloud premier which is a pretty bice hybrid mattress IMO. It's middle of the line pricing and bang for your buck. Ive had mine for 4 years and it's still comfortable.
Do you prefer a firm mattress? I love love love my dreamcloud premier. Coming up on 3 years with it and it's been great.
Dreamcloud mattress is amazing. I love mine!
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that... I've had mine for almost 3 years and it's still in great condition :(
The fastest way is to buy one from a brick and mortar store with delivery options. Otherwise I got my mattress pretty quickly when I ordered from Dreamcloud.
It is *slightly* higher than your price range, but dreamcloud has a queen hybrid mattress for $699 right now - I suggested it despite being slightly out of your price point because that's a pretty good deal. Especially since I just peeked to check prices and noticed a deal running where it comes with a sheet set, two pillows, and a waterproof mattress pad for no extra cost. I got that particular bundle when I bought my own dreamcloud 3 years ago, and I am *still* using everything. The pillows are insane, I've never had one last as long as these have. They still hold their shape, and don't sag down on you as you sleep. The sheets are soft and comfortable with zero pilling after many washes. And the mattress protector is great, it isn't crinkly at all. Since I myself have one I could also send you a referral code to knock $100 off the price, though I am unsure if it would stack with the bundle deal.
I've personally had good luck with the mattress I got from dreamcloud. But I have ALSO enjoyed the mattress I bought from a local mattress company called Verlo. Dunno if there's one in your area. They make each mattress to order, on site, and you can customize the crap out of your mattress. I bought a simple v1 basic pillowtop innerspring mattress for my son 10 years ago for like 175 bucks and it's still in great shape. When it's time to replace my dreamcloud, I'm going there.
I agree with the comment about s topper. My husband and I bought a $300 spring mattress from Sam's club maybe 13 years ago. After like 8 years we got a memory foam topper from Costco for like $100 and it was pretty amazing! We'd still be using it but we upgraded to a king. We upgraded to a Dream Cloud split king hybrid mattress. We've had it for a maybe a month now and it's been nice! They have a 365 trial period, and I read the fine print and if you don't like it you just call them and they figure out coming to get it. They also have a lifetime warranty. We paid about $1,100 for the split king, but the regular king and queen are less than 1k. If you have a platform bed frame, or one with slats, you don't need a box spring
I got the dreamcloud recently - their more expensive hybrid - and I love it. Wanted plush and soft as well as I’m a side sleeper.
