Helix (Original Model)

Female, older, mostly side and back sleeper-I went with Helix and now I'm on my third Helix mattress in 16 years. I had a basic Helix in 2015 but had health issues and gained about 90 lbs. so it became too soft. I moved to a Helix Plus in 2020 and loved it until I lost all the weight I gained (and then some) and it was too firm. I know have a Helix Midnight Elite and so far, so good. I am sleeping better and longer than usual and have no morning aches and pains. Also, the 2015 Helix was gifted to a nephew who is still using it and the Plus given to a neighbor who loves it. I found a brand I liked and stuck with it.

We’ve been sleeping on a king sized Helix for 9 years, with each side customized just for our preferences (I like a very squishy bed and my husband wants to sleep on a plank of wood), and it’s still in great shape. Easily the best mattress I have ever slept on. We tried a Tempur-pedic and absolutely hated it. Helix mattresses have a unique build, a high density foam foundation topped with a specially designed innerspring layer and then a thick layer of memory foam on top of that. I think that’s what keeps it from eventually sagging in the middle. Ours still feels like it did the day we received it, for real. It doesn’t cause back pain, it fixes back pain! When we have to sleep elsewhere for a few nights for trips, we are always dying to get back to our house so we can sleep on that mattress so our backs will stop hurting. I think they have a trial period with the right to return it if it doesn’t work for you. Whatever you end up going with, I hope you manage to find a good mattress. Good luck!

We got two twin xl from Helix a few years ago, both tall and heavy. I disliked mine by one year, my husband still uses his, but he is super easy going and nothing ever bothers him. I went back to my old Saatva which is still excellent after nine years.

Helix is the closest thing that works for me. I think the hybrid stays cool

We have a Helix mattress - it's a hybrid. I love it. We did a lot of research before buying to make sure we got something appropriate for our sizes and sleep positions and everything.

We’re currently testing two hybrids, Helix and Amerisleep, both are so much cooler than our old no name memory foam. Also good Brooklyn Bedding cooling mattress covers instead of the cheap $20 ones from Amazon. I’m sure it’s a combination of factors but it’s been great so far
