We switched from midnight luxe to twilight luxe and like our decision.

Mattress store did not carry the Dawn so we did not try. Twilight feels much firmer than midnight. My wife liked the sinking feeling. I hated it. I sleep in all positions. Haven't thought about the mattress since we returned it.

Hi there! Sorry to hear you have been waking up with lower back pain and some shoulder pain/stiffness. Although it's fairly common to have some aches while your body is adjusting to a new mattress and the mattress breaks in, pain that continues or gets worse is usually a sign that something isn't quiet right. The Midnight Luxe is designed as a medium feel and tends to work very well for side sleepers because it provides extra pressure relief around the shoulders and hips. However, since both of you spend time sleeping on your stomach, it’s possible that the mattress may be allowing the hips to sink a bit more than what’s ideal for that position. Stomach sleepers need a bit more support through the midsection to help keep the spine more aligned and reduce lower back strain. Based on what you described, a model like the Dusk Luxe is often a great option for combination sleepers who rotate between side and stomach while still liking a medium feel mattress. It provides a bit more pushback and support through the hips and lower back while still offering enough cushioning for the shoulders. The Twilight Luxe is firmer overall and tends to work best for side sleepers who strongly prefer a very supportive, firmer feel. Before making a final decision (regardless on what you choose), I'd also recommend checking a couple small things that can sometimes make a big difference: * Make sure the mattress is on a supportive foundation or base. If it's on a foundation that isn't properly supportive, this can cause the mattress to sag thus creating back pain. * Give the mattress a bit of time to fully break in (the first 30–45 days can feel slightly firmer) * Consider pillow height, since shoulder stiffness can sometimes come from a pillow that’s too low or too high for side/stomach sleeping If you need any assistance or have any other questions, feel free to ask!

I have a similar situation but not the same so take this with a grain of salt. I had a Nectar Premier Hybrid and it began to sink creating massive back pain for me. I went to several Mattress Warehouses, Sleep Lofts and felt the Midnight Luxe and Twilight Luxe, twilight always felt like a step or two firmer to me... the difference of sinking in (midnight) or being on top the mattress (twilight). I just got my Twilight Luxe 2 weeks ago, and the backpack has been progressively getting less and less each night. Im 5'11 200lbs Male

I know you said you got the mattress last year, but are you still in the return window? I just got the Helix Twilight Luxe about a month ago and it's supposed to be a step up in firmness compared to the midnight. Im a combo back/side sleeper but im also 200lbs, so I sink in a tiny bit but I still get the "on top of the mattress" feel. I got it with the Ergoalign Layer which makes the hip area a bit firmer than the rest

Also remember that foams will lose a bit of firmness over time as they break in. Ask how long the mattress store had the Twilight in store for. One of the twilights I tried was super firm and the store just opened a month ago, then other store was worn in and felt slightly firmer than the midnight

**Hi! Recently we purchased a helix midnight (medium) mattress with the extra layer of cooling that comes as an option. We have the option to swap for another mattress and strongly considering the** Wink bed Luxury Firm. Does anyone have experience with both of these? Or either of these? Also considering (less strongly) the Helix Twilight (this is their medium firm) and the Helix Dawn (firm). We bought from a small retailer that only sells these types of brands (Casper, Naturepedic, etc) so we’re a bit limited in our options. For context: Main complaints of the Helix Midnight for us are— feels too squishy and not firm enough, feel like we sink in rather than stay “on top” of mattress, and it doesn’t do a great job with cooling (despite having the room temp at 63!!). For extra kicks: The store owner recommended Naturepedic to us, but not sure how we feel about it bc there’s such mixed reviews out there.

Thanks! So yes I find the Helix Midnight Luxe to be too sinky and hugging for my preference. The only version of the WinkBed I was able to try in a showroom was the WinkBed Luxe Firm, which I liked and thought it felt firmer….which I hope will sink less. I was contemplating the Helix Twilight Luxe, being that it’s a little firmer than the Midnight, but I still think the WinkBed felt less sinky. The sales person was trying to steer me towards the Helix Dawn Luxe overall, however I felt it still felt hugging with the same construction of the top (same for all the Helix line). Thoughts??

I have a Helix Twilight Luxe. We got it about three years ago. It's been great and I would certainly buy another one.

Hello- I have l4/l5 lumbar herniation (acute) that developed from a chronic few-year old bulge. & with some lingering term chronic stuff (slight misalignment leading to disc degeneration due to childhood injury) Vast majority of pain currently is in lower leg. But more chronically comes in the low back region. May have surgery soon - developments pending. In dire need of a new mattress. Tested some and here are some thoughts- Was looking at bear elite hybrid prior to this acute pain. But checking it out again I’m worried it’s too firm to really go to sleep easily. Also laying down on it made me sad it made me “feel” like there’s a problem with me, hahah. I still want to feel like I’m going into a nice cozy bed. I tried helix’s latex line, the birch elite hybrid and was pleasantly surprised. I have a tendency to sleep in the “mountain climber” position with one leg hiked up and I found this mattress supported that the most without needing a lot of additional pillow support on my leg. Although I hear the longevity of latex is poor. However it seems a lot of people here don’t like latex. Why is that? (Other than poor longevity?) I was under the impression it “holds” you the best? I also tried helix twilight elite hybrid and helix twilight luxe hybrid. Both were good. I think twilight elite is better but the mattress itself is so physically massive it’s really off putting. Seems like a task to get in and out of. Was looking at Saatva rx, saatva firm and saatva latex. All were good but when I think of the mattress i tried, they don’t leave a strong impression on my memory. Very flexible on price right now. But I’d like to stay in the $2800 USD And below. I’m willing ti invest in a good mattress.
