If you’re anywhere near London, myself and my other half had an excellent experience shopping in person [here](https://maps.app.goo.gl/TdMdRh14UbDYBPn99?g_st=ipc). We went in the morning, which is apparently the best time of day to try out mattresses.
We ended up going for a Hypnos Origins, which we’ve had just over a year and it’s an absolute dream to sleep on.
If you end up going to an independent shop would recommend going later in the month as many of them have sales goals and they may give you a better deal because of this!
Hypnos has been pretty good for me, but then I like sleeping on a concrete rock according to others. I usually get their firm matresses and have been happy. I don’t think you can go too wrong with Hypnos, Harrison spinks, vi spring etc but the most important thing is it has to be right for you and other half if that’s a requirement. Sometimes half and half is the way to go as good sleep for you and bad sleep for your significant other other isn’t great and vice versa.
Jack Ryan have 60 days returns from when I last checked. Always ask in store what the returns policy is, I might even say try in store but buy online, matresses are made to order these days and if you buy it in the store you might have a hard time returning it, unless it’s in a 60 day return aswell. Also Jack Ryan have a lot of good articles on their site, which I found very informative when buying my current Hypnos.
In my old house we had two emperor mattresses.. definitely go for the zip and link. On paper the mattresses were an easy fit but in practice it took a lot of effort to get them in. Unless you live in a very open plan high ceiling'd bungalow. Also we now have a sleepeezee superking with a pillow top. It's as good as the vispring and hypnos that I've previously had. The emperor beds were awful so I wouldn't recommend that supplier.
