VALEVÅG Pocket spring mattress, extra firm

Go to IKEA and lie on a few beds. I am a fellow back sufferer and swear by their now discontinued Hovag mattress. I have one at my second home and it's much better than the expensive memory foam mattress I have at my first home. Valevag and Vasteroy are alleged to be similar to Hovag, depending on how firm you like your mattress, so try both and see what you think.

We also had the hovag and recently upgraded to a valevag when we moved from a double to a king size. 10/10 for a mattress, would recommend.

IKEA Valevag with a latex topper. Mattress is $350 (edit- queen size); topper was $200. You can get a cheaper memory foam topper if you prefer that to latex. Edited to add- I found my topper on Amazon. The mattress by itself is too firm for most people.

I used to slp on king koil and alw had back aches. Bought a $299 VALEVAG mattress and nvr looked back. The back aches also went away

Another one saying IKEA - mine is the best mattress I've ever slept on. Unfortunately they don't make the model I have any more, but the replacement (the Valevag) seems to get very good reviews.
