Most (maybe all) of the king Koil Intimate, Reserve, Natural lines are tufted, other than hybrids. Maybe some other lines too.
I sell King Koil, it’s inaccurate.
If there’s a specific hotel you sleep great at I’d try and figure out what the bed they’re using is. If you can’t find it online then next time you’re there pull back the sheets and take some pictures and ask here. I sleep on an old Posh+Lavish, as they stopped zoning their support recently I wouldn’t go with a current model personally as the zoning is a must have for me on their beds. Beds I sell that I’d consider for me: Diamond Mattress Veil, Diamond Mattress Snowbird Firm, Technogel Favola, Avocado Luxury Tight Top, Technogel Atmosphere Medium. Those all have zoned support that works for me. The King Koil Intimate Michelson Medium is the one bed without zoned support that I’m able to lay on without feeling like it’s going to make my sciatica act up. Sorry that it sounds like the stores around you suck, we generally encourage people to lay on the beds for a while without us around once we narrow it down to a few. We also have a very liberal return policy so we’re a lot more motivated to get it right the first time.

Yeah, Stearns 100% isn’t worth that kind of money anymore if you’re trying to get 10+ years out of a mattress. Check out King Koil Intimate, Diamond Black Diamond quilted, or Brooklyn Bedding Thermobalance Elite, all of those will have models of a similar feel and equal/better quality/warranty at a lower price.
We just brought in Avocado to our store and the luxury Box Top is super soft. My favorite bed they make. Only one they add talalay to the mattress. I would try that. King koil intimate Michelson is also pretty soft. Most comfortable bed I ever laid on was a McCrosky 2-3 years ago. Was $30k but felt awesome.
The only mattress I would tell people will sleep cold is technogel. Every other mattress has properties to help you mot get hot, but technogel is the only thing that sleeps cool. They are slightly higher than your price though. It depends on the kind of mattress you want, King Koil intimates is a great line, we sell the Michelson which has over 3000 support coils in a queen and another 7000 micro coils. Avocado makes a good mattress if you want to try latex.
Beautyrest black is the most overrated mattress on the market. They have very little support compared to other mattresses. I would look at Black Diamond from Diamond or the intimate line from King koil (we sell the Michelson, but the name can change). Both beds have good support, both beds are in your budget, both beds have feel options to choose from. Diamond should be in the $3k ish range for a king, and the Michelson will be right around or a touch over $4k.

For coil beds I like the King Koil Intimate line with 3000 support coils (not counting the 7000 mini coils), my body responds best to latex. My ultra plush latex bed has more support than almost anything in my store. Anything from Diamond with their 9 series coil: Technogel line, Snowbird line, marble (which is super firm), I think their generations line has the 9 series coil, but not something I show.
King koil intimate! It’s been amazing
I bought their intimate line and I absolutely love it… I’m surprise they aren’t on Reddit more. I spent 3500 for a king which is enough to justify more reviews I feel like. But I absolutely love my mattress
I just bought a King Koil Intimate as well! I switch from side to side and ultimately land on my back in the morning. I hope it lasts...
So far its the best thing I have laid on....fingers crossed it just gets better!
Mine is somewhat flexible. It is kind of heavy but no where near as heavy as the Stearns & Foster I tried. That thing was a behemoth! I can still lift it to put sheets on and what not. It might depend on what firmness level you end up getting and how thick it is. Mine is 16"
It wasn’t a factor when I bought mine but I looked it up out of curiosity. I got a king koil intimate about a month ago and I’m absolutely hating it. Much softer than the store model and the hand tufting has metal anchors covered by a tiny yarn tuft and the metal digs into me leaving red marks and a lot of discomfort. Having a lot of regret
Yes agreed, it really digs into my side body when I’m laying down. I didn’t notice when I tested the mattress in the store, but having it at home it’s quite bothersome and hard feeling with the metal just under the tufts
Mostly a stomach sleeper (ugh) I'm about 130lbs. Bought a sealy posterpedic highpoint medium, hated it, felt like my spine was hammocking and the slickness of the material was strange (I did try numerous mattress protectors, but couldn't find one I liked.) Swapped it out for a hybrid latex King Koil mattress (medium firm.) I want to like it but my body is not adjusting! I am trying to convince myself that it's supportive, but ultimately it feels too firm and I dislike the tufting. I miss the slight comforming feeling that memory foam has, but I know memory foam is not going to be right for my stomach sleeping. I even bought a memory foam 3 in topper but it slept way too hot and I felt that spine hammocking again. I have gotten really good sleep in the past on a cheaper, basic mattress (lol I don't remember what it was) with a 2 inch memory topper from costco. I dream of this set up, even though it theorhetically was sagging/sinking in. Any tips? I'm so sleep deprived and miserable, I don't know where to go from here because I'm worried that trying a new mattress will just be another uncomfortable, un broken in nightmare.
