King Koil - PureBliss Manhattan Firm Mattress (Flex King)

I recently bought a mattress and I'm glad I went to some stores and tried them out first. I learned I don't like memory foam. I ended up getting a King Koil hybrid latex and I love it. It was expensive, but my back pain has almost completely disappeared so I'm not too mad about it. I found a few stores too that had examples of online bed in a box mattresses so you could try them first.

You don’t need to spend $10k. So you need to go try a few out; I recommend only trying 3 max on one trip. Personally, I go to Macy’s furniture gallery (the bigger the better) b/c they have a large selection of brands. Personally I have a king size King Koil and love it. Just remember 1. Ask them how long it has been on display. The longer it’s been out the more “broken in” it will be. So your new mattress will be a lot firmer (between 10-25% depending on how long the floor model has been in display). 2. Take your time and lay there for a while and in different positions. But if you really want to support local, have a bang of your buck and have an awesome night’s rest, I recommend taking a look at Four Stars. It’s the only mattress that made me dreamed so hard, my ancestors could convey their messages easily

Depends on your budget TBH. Duroflex if you want something economical. If you can go above 25k, then I would suggest Serta, Therapedic, King Koil.

Mentioned a few times already but make sure to try them in person, and you'll be pleased (not) to know that the same brand will have the same (or really, really similar) model named differently depending on where they're selling it which makes the whole process so much more complicated. We've never found a mattress model on any of the brands' websites We tried a whole bunch and wanted to like the S brands, but ultimately found a King Koil to be the most comfortable and the best value P.S if you sleep hot, highly recommend checking out the ones that have special linings to make them cooling to sleep on. You may not end up buying them but they were *wild* to experience. There was one we tried in Takashimaya - think it was MaxCoil - that genuinely felt like it had air-con inside and was substantially cooler than everything else on the same floor)

King Koil has good motion isolation because it is tufted and graphite infused foam and lavender infused foam that keeps you very cool. Plus the tufting makes it last for years without sagging.

King Koil is a reputable brand that uses quality components and has a natural line with nothing synthetic other than maybe foam in a comfort,/transition layer. Personally I would buy one 100% of the time over a tempurpedic but that is mostly because tempur has lowered their quality and raised their prices banking on their name and reputation they had before the merger. But there are plenty of people who love the newer tempurs but they probably won't last 10-20 years like they used to. My greater point was that king Koil is a solid choice even if reviews are hard to come by (but search this subreddit and you'll find some).

That sucks but at least they owned up to their mistake and I'm totally in agreement about mattress shopping. King Koil has been making mattresses since the late 1800s, I think, and mattress underground lists them as a top 20 mattress manufacturer. Knowing what type of mattress you like is the first (and sometimes hardest) part of the battle. I used to love my memory foam mattress but these days I prefer something made with more natural materials. Just make sure you get all the details on any return/exchange/sleep trial from whatever store you are thinking of purchasing from in case you regret your purchase because whatever you buy won't feel exactly like the floor model.
