King Koil Xtended life has a 15 year 1/2” depression warranty, it’s usually our go-to when people want springs and are worried about sagging.
Not necessarily, there’s things that are way more important to consider than just cost. However, usually Beds with the following you’re not gonna buy for $1000. My dad and I do not have to sell what’s stuck in front of us by management. About 25 years ago, we made the decision to step away from the highly hyped big name labels and focus on build quality. For a time, we carried King Koil’s Extended Life line (XL). It was marketed as a heavy duty mattress for plus size sleepers, and it did use stronger coils and foams than typical brand-name beds. But when King Koil was bought out by an overseas investment group, the focus shifted. That’s when we decided it was time to move on. We also carried Campbell Mattress out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a company that started in 1933. After their owner, Norman Woods, passed away, it was never quite the same. What made Campbell stand out was their use of hardwood in the foundations (like poplar), 2 sided builds, and natural materials like cotton. Today we stand with Therapedic’s Medicoil HD, built in Rock Island, Illinois. Build can vary slightly by franchisee, so it’s important to do your homework and learn how a mattress is made just like we did. Here’s why we chose Medicoil HD and stayed with it. Two-sided mattresses you can flip and rotate. High-density foams that hold up. 12.5-gauge steel coils — the heaviest available. Super-duty foundations with longitudinal I-beams and 14 slats, built strong enough to support a 1300-pound soft-sided waterbed. Mattresses engineered to support 350 pounds per sleeper side. For us, it’s never been about chasing brand names. The best advice I can share is to understand and learn how a mattress is built, and choose one made the right way. That is the only way to get the lasting quality we demand for ourselves and our customers.
You don’t need a “big persons bed” the foams on all those beds aren’t going to really last longer, or they would put a better warranty on it. If yo are dead set going for a bed that is geared towards heavier people look for the Xtended life from King Koil. They have a 1/2 in depression over 15 years to get 100% replacement. Best warranty I have seen in 19 years selling mattresses. My worry, is you seem to like a softer feel and even the Overture pillow top (line of Xtended life) is only a true medium. But, don’t buy form just cause you think it will last longer, just going to create new issues
I recently bought a mattress and I'm glad I went to some stores and tried them out first. I learned I don't like memory foam. I ended up getting a King Koil hybrid latex and I love it. It was expensive, but my back pain has almost completely disappeared so I'm not too mad about it. I found a few stores too that had examples of online bed in a box mattresses so you could try them first.
You don’t need to spend $10k. So you need to go try a few out; I recommend only trying 3 max on one trip. Personally, I go to Macy’s furniture gallery (the bigger the better) b/c they have a large selection of brands. Personally I have a king size King Koil and love it. Just remember 1. Ask them how long it has been on display. The longer it’s been out the more “broken in” it will be. So your new mattress will be a lot firmer (between 10-25% depending on how long the floor model has been in display). 2. Take your time and lay there for a while and in different positions. To ensure you’re well supported and comfortable. 3. Buying a mattress and finding one can be the most frustrating experience. That’s why I recommend to only try 3 per visit and also t
Buy Woosa and Origin Mattress if you like cheap white washed OEM mattresses Buy King koil, Tempur, Simmons if you want to buy branded. But if you really want to support local, have a bang of your buck and have an awesome night’s rest, I recommend taking a look at Four Stars. It’s the only mattress that made me dreamed so hard, my ancestors could convey their messages easily
Depends on your budget TBH. Duroflex if you want something economical. If you can go above 25k, then I would suggest Serta, Therapedic, King Koil.
I've got a King Koil from Harvey Norman. It's pretty good!
Emma, took me a couple months to get used to it but no more back pain! Also have a king Koil on the house and that’s a fabulous mattress too
Mentioned a few times already but make sure to try them in person, and you'll be pleased (not) to know that the same brand will have the same (or really, really similar) model named differently depending on where they're selling it which makes the whole process so much more complicated. We've never found a mattress model on any of the brands' websites We tried a whole bunch and wanted to like the S brands, but ultimately found a King Koil to be the most comfortable and the best value P.S if you sleep hot, highly recommend checking out the ones that have special linings to make them cooling to sleep on. You may not end up buying them but they were *wild* to experience. There was one we tried in Takashimaya - think it was MaxCoil - that genuinely felt like it had air-con inside and was substantially cooler than everything else on the same floor)
