The his is me! I got the tempurpedic medium and HATE that thing. Back pain shoulder pain just awful even after almost two months. I’m literally sitting at mattress warehouse right now to exchange it and I’m getting the Kingsdown Sunham Ultra Eurotop Hybrid instead. I’ll let yall know how it goes in a month
Honestly I just replaced my mattress with financing at teppermans (along with a whole new bed) and I got the Kingsdown plush top mattress and it’s a dream!!!
I've had my Kingsdown latex and foam mattress for at least 12 years. There is an indent where we sleep now, but it's still extremely comfortable. I bought it on a whim because it was on clearance and it's the best purchase I've ever made. It's insanely heavy and has no carry spots; it took 3 adults struggling to carry it when we moved. That's my only gripe!
Kindsdown. They have a wide range of comforts and price ranges, and use natural materials instead of cheap foams that are causing the issues you’re worried about.
I've been very happy with Kingsdown, which you can also get at Sleep Country among other chains. It's also Canadian, along with a bunch of other manufacturers that've been listed here
The only way you're going to get away from some motion transfer is by getting a decent coil system. The purple is absolutely one of the worst mattresses for motion transfer out there. Tempurpedic is really good at avoiding but you'll need to go up to the pro adapt soft line for your desired feel. You could also look at some of the Kingsdown mattress', Matt warehouse has a couple that could serve you well. Sunham or Wilcrest.
COSTCO CANADA "KINGSDOWN" mattress. (k/s) Very supportive 2 years in. Don't know if Costco USA carries them.
We recently moved , and went to pick out a new mattress. Together at the store, we laid on several, and selected a Kingsdown mattress. It’s been a wonderful one! I’m menopausal, and take medication that causes even more night sweats, and the mattress is still comfortable. It’s the perfect firm / soft combo as well. Of course, I always use a mattress cover to protect the mattress.
Kingsdown are my favorite. I'm a side sleeper so I went with the softest top, but they have medium and firm as well.
Thanks for doing this! I purchased a Kingsdown mattress this past summer from Sleep Country Canada, cost me nearly $3K. I was told it’s one of the best in the store. At first the mattress was excellent. But now there’s a noticeable dent where I sleep (it’s not memory foam). It’s extremely uncomfortable and I wake up with back pain from the dent . I’m super upset and plan to speak w the store. Any idea as to why this happened or what I should do?
