Diamond Mattress makes a good product and doesn’t spend much on marketing. Wide range of quality levels. Leesa is a Helix but costs less as they don’t spend as much marketing Leesa (both part of 3Z brands). Rep literally said the only difference is the cover and the part number for the Leesa Reserve foams is something like “Helix Elite Medium Foam Package”. King Koil makes pretty solid products but doesn’t come in a box. Wink is nothing special, but solid and fairly priced for what it is. Those are the brands that make up about 80% of my store, I carry them because I believe in them and get good customer service when I need it from them.
If you’re looking for no odor, Greenguard Gold certified is going to be your best bet, but we just brought in Leesa (made by 3Z who also makes Helix and the beds share components) and there is a slight odor to them so I’d imagine Helix is the same. I’m VERY sensitive to smells and it’s not overly noticeable, but it is there right out of the box. Everything we’ve gotten from Diamond Mattress is also Greenguard and has had less/no odor compared to Leesa/Helix, but their higher end stuff doesn’t ship compressed. The Leesa Sapira Chill firm feels like a nice hotel bed to me (it’s also on the medium side of firm), so does the Winkbed Lux Firm (wink isn’t Greenguard gold, but didn’t notice much/any smell on unboxing). Nothing that comes in a box is going to cool you down, invest in good sheets and maybe a Bedjet/8Sleep cover if you want to be cooled. Most beds (even the ones that say cooling) are just trying for temperature neutral.
Not everyone is the same, you need to figure out what you prefer, soft or firm, or in between. I side sleep and prefer a more firm bed. I got the titan, and love it, I tried Leeta and the Costco brands, nova form? Not sure the Costco brands name, they were fine, but too soft for me, soft feel great at first, but for 8 hours I didn’t like it. The titan is firm, but not like hard, just not plush. Not pushing titan brand, but saying figure out what level of firmness/softness you like and find a model that claims that type of firmness/softness.
Buy from Costco. The return policy is excellent. We ended up with a hybrid leesa and it has been great. We had memory foam novaform and the Kirkland Stearns and foster and the leesa has been the best. No hop or back pain anymore.
My son is a big guy (6'3" and probably around 250). He needed a bigger sized mattress when his girlfriend moved in so I suggested the Leesa Plus sized Hybrid. We have the original Leesa hybrid mattress and absolutely love it. He took my advice and they both rave about it. He bought the queen size and when they move to a bigger place, they are going to get a King.
We have a Leesa hybrid mattress and love it. My son and his girlfriend have the same thing, except it's the one made for heavier people and they love it too. We were able to test it out at the West Elm store that's in the shopping center across from South Coast Plaza, if that helps
I can’t attest to test-of-time, but we got a Leesa hybrid mattress from Costco when they were on sale for under $1000 and we love it. It’s on the firmer side of midrange.
Mattresses are so subjective. I'd suggest going to a mattress store and trying them out to see what you actually like. That said, we really like our Leesa Hybrid mattress. I would hold out for black friday if you can. I'm sure there will be deals.
I’ve had hybrid queen Layla bed in a box for 6 years and it’s by the best mattress I’ve ever owned. Plush pillow tops are going to crater into the middle. It still looks and feels like the day I first opened it. I bought a Leesa king from Costco a month ago for our new master bedroom bed and I’m wishing I bought another Layla instead. Queen went into the guest room :(
Ice owned a leesa king size mattress and it was our favorite mattress of all-time. We upgraded to a super king size but leesa is no longer available in the UK. We have a Simba Hybrid now and it's not as comfy as the leesa and starting to sink now. What would you recommend as the closet equivalent to the leesa full foam mattress that is available in the UK in 2025?
i bought a Leesa mattress in 2019.... still is great to sleep on
I had insane buyer’s remorse with my first online mattress (a Leesa). At first it was “wow, so comfy!” and by year two it was sag city. My advice is don’t let the first month trick you. Look for reviews from people 2–3 years in—that’s where you’ll see the truth.
