NOT Nectar, the worst customer service on the planet and they will cheat you out of money. I recently bought a king-sized mattress on Amazon for just over $200 to tide us over. We're planning to move soon and weren't planning to spend a ton on a mattress. So far, it's comfortable, much better than the ten-year-old Nectar.

I have a Nectar (which I bought after my parents bought one and loved it) and I think it’s the perfect firmness. I’m also a side/stomach sleeper and I miss my bed so much when I’m away. I bought it almost 7 years ago and it’s still going strong. The one my parents have is 10+ years old and they still love it.

I’m pretty sure I just got the Nectar classic and it’s just the memory foam one (NOT the hybrid foam/springs one). It’s definitely not the super soft kind of mattress where you completely sink into it because tbh I would absolutely hate that. It’s probably a medium firmness I would say. I’m like Goldilocks lol, I don’t want a mattress that’s hard as a rock and I don’t want it to be too soft. I want it to be just right and I think this hits that perfect middle firmness for me. If you’re going for the pillow like super soft mattress I’d say just get a super thick foam topper for any mattress you do end up getting. They make crazy thick ones nowadays.

r/MattressA different approach to this sub - if you have a mattress you actually like, what is the make/model?

I own the Nectar classic as my main mattress along with the Nectar pillows. I also have a generic foam mattress off of Amazon in one of my guest rooms. I'm very happy with my mattress and while I don't sleep in the guest room, the guests always say it gives them a good night's sleep too.

Hey There! I'd Like to offer a couple more recommendations based on our testing for you to consider. The most of affordable of which would be the all foam Nectar Classic, It comes in as a Medium-Firm making it ideal for heavier side sleepers, you'll sink pretty far into this mattress and It contours your body very closely as well, which helps with pressure relief and leads to a feeling of being tightly hugged and cradled If that's what you like! It has great motion isolation, so if your partner moves around a lot, you'll only feel the larger movements and even then they'll dissipate quickly. It offers decent enough cooling that as long as you're not an overly hot sleeper it should keep you comfortable. A few Issues to note would be the only passable edge support and the use of mostly lower quality foams, meaning some sagging or indentations could appear faster than a higher quality mattress. Second up, I'd like you to consider the Dreamcloud Classic Hybrid mattress. It's a is medium-plush, making it ideal for light to average side sleepers. Unlike the previous recommendation this mattress only has a moderate level of sinking and the surface doesn't contour your body very closely, so you feel cushioned and cradled, but not tightly hugged. This mattress also has excellent edge support thanks to the additional support coils found on each side. It also does a good job of isolating motion, while you feel most movements nearby, they stay close to the source and don't travel very much throughout the mattress and once again they'll dissipate quickly so its unlikely to wake you. This mattress is very responsive which means you'll be able to move around and change sleeping positions with ease. It does a very good job at cooling, even if it does take a little while for the cooling performance to ramp up. But just like the last mattress, you'll have to keep an eye on sagging and indentations as its mostly comprised of lower quality foams. Lastly, If you could stretch your budget slightly I'd recommend the Boring Mattress, this Hybrid mattress receives medium firmness rating based on our testing and is best suited to average-sized and heavier side sleepers. You sink fairly deeply into the Boring Mattress, and it contours your body pretty closely, too, leading to a feeling of being cradled and hugged, but not completely enveloped. This mattress once again has superb responsiveness making it a breeze to move around in. The Boring has excellent motion isolation such that you'll only ever feel larger movements and even then they dissipate quickly. The mattress provides excellent edge support. You can sit or lie near the edge without worrying about slipping off, thanks to the additional polyfoam built into the sides. The Boring Mattress provides the best cooling of the 3 recommendations providing enough performance for even hot sleepers. And great news here at the end, This mattress uses higher quality foams so you should expect it to outlast the 2 other mattresses on this list. Feel free to reach out with any other questions and I'd be happy to help you in any way I can. Good luck and have fun mattress shopping!

r/AskMenHow much was your mattress and was it worth the price?

Same, Nectar Classic. King for $1000 three years ago (cheaper now for Black Friday). Depending on your bed frame, you don't necessarily need a box spring. Super good about movement isolation - I toss and turn and it used to drive my wife nuts on our old bed. This one you can hardly feel somebody else moving around. I think what sold me versus any number of the other foam mattress companies in the same price range is Nectar has the 365 day guarantee. Some others had as little as 30 days. Sleep on it for up to a year and decide it isn't for you, you can get a refund.

You might want to check out the Nectar Memory Foam. My partner and I are both side sleepers and it's helped with back and hip pain quite a bit. It has that contouring feel without being too soft, and motion isolation is great too.

r/HomeWhat’s the best mattress for a side sleeper? Have back pain with my current one
about 1 month ago

Guys, the [Nectar memory foam mattress](https://vibeandwell.com/5-best-mattresses-for-side-sleepers-with-back-pain-sleep-pain-free/) is all you need. Trust me when I say you won't even need a body pillow after this. Thank me later. My 1 decade long backpain vanished, just like that. Saved me a ton of money that I would've spent on a "chiropractor."

r/MattressWhat actually works for side sleepers?

I'm a side sleeper and I sent back a Nectar so I could buy a Purple Restore Plus hybrid. It's got 2 in of their trademark honeycomb grid on top. I really like it. The Premier has 3 inches, It feels great. And I could have got it cheaper, but It didn't come in full and I was determined to get that size. So glad it doesn't have that memory foam on top. It might be in there somewhere but not not to lie on directly.

I bought a Nectar and I love it. It’s softer than any mattress I’ve ever had before but that seems perfect for my achy hips. From the first night, I felt the difference. I got the one that is supposed to stay cool but I don’t notice any cooler staying happening, so that part was a bust.
