r/MattressMattress shopping after 15 Years - Advice?

My husband and I recently purchased a king size Nectar Luxe hybrid from a reseller and it was a great decision. We knew we wanted something medium firmness but not solely foam, thus we went the hybrid route. We chose this one without testing it based on reviews and some AI research to compare similar mattresses. I can’t say enough good things about it, and for $500 it was a steal. We did end up getting new pillows after also because our previous ones weren’t working for us with this firmer mattress than we previously had. That being said, Coop pillows for us have been life changing as side sleepers. I feel like I’ve leveled up in life.

When we first started shopping, soft. We liked the Nectar Luxe 14” foam at Mattress Firm, but I knew it would be too soft for me long term. I float between 205-225 and feel that one was going to sag. This is as firm as I’d ever want a mattress to be, I give it 6/10. Feels similar to the old Tuft & Needle mattresses that were good.

r/HomeWhat’s the best mattress for a side sleeper? Have back pain with my current one

I got a nectar for side sleeping full size for about 1400 bucks it took about 6 months for the break-in but it's amazing and has great stability for some romping. It's really the pillow that you have to consider and spending $150 on a pillow is worth it but don't buy it from nectar talk to your chiropractor for the right one

Do: Check FB Marketplace or local shops, measure your space (NYC buildings can be tricky), and look for delivery/setup options. Don’t: Buy used mattresses unless you're 100% sure bedbugs aren’t worth the risk. Nectar Hybrid’s a solid pick if you go new comfy, ships easy, and not crazy expensive.

I use a Nectar hybrid mattress that uses springs and memory foam, love the feel as it is soft and firm.. hard to describe, lol it is definitely soft but it is sturdy also And is also an adjustable bed. I recently had surgery on my upper neck and I LOVE this bed!! It is amazingly comfy and you can adjust it so much, it reclines, sits up, elevates feet, etc. Well worth it!
