Ive had the Nectar Premier Hybrid (coils and foam) for 7 months now. It was very comfortable for these past 7 months until one day I woke up with extreme back pain. The mattress at this moment feels like it lost all support, so I contacted them and got a refund. Currently looking at Helix which has very good reviews. Edit: Dreamcloud and Nectar are also owned by the same company
Yeah, it's unfortunate because I really liked it too
I have a similar situation but not the same so take this with a grain of salt. I had a Nectar Premier Hybrid and it began to sink creating massive back pain for me. I went to several Mattress Warehouses, Sleep Lofts and felt the Midnight Luxe and Twilight Luxe, twilight always felt like a step or two firmer to me... the difference of sinking in (midnight) or being on top the mattress (twilight). I just got my Twilight Luxe 2 weeks ago, and the backpack has been progressively getting less and less each night. Im 5'11 200lbs Male
This is so subjective to you! We tried the Tempur Pro Adapt and the Nectar Hybrid Premier. We purchased the Nectar and it’s so comfortable! It doesn’t sleep warm, it gives the right amount of support for us back and side sleepers, and it was obviously less expensive. This is after having a Nectar Classic memory foam for 7 years which was still just as supportive as when we purchased it. We didn’t get rid of that one either; we moved it into another bedroom.
Just find a mattress liquidator on Facebook marketplace. I found a last model year king Nectar Hybrid Premium for $500. Yes you’re getting last years model, but tbh model years for mattresses are a scam to jack the price up of the newer year. Kinda like phones or cars, there’s really only a big leap in mattress tech every few years or so.
I’m a larger side sleeper with shoulder pain, and I personally sleep on a Nectar Premier Hybrid. It works for me as well as my much lighter partner. However, I also test and review mattresses. And, when it comes to side sleeping, especially for those with hip and shoulder pain, it’s usually not about finding the softest bed. It’s about getting enough pressure relief for the shoulders and hips while keeping the spine aligned. In general, I’ve found a few things tend to matter most: • Pressure relief. Your shoulder and hips need to sink in slightly. If the comfort layer is too thin or firm, pressure builds up overnight. As others have said in this thread, firmness is subjective, so it’s good to focus on the thickness of the comfort layer. • Support. If the mattress is too soft overall, the hips can sink too far and twist the lower back. This can cause back pain over time. • Body weight. Lighter side sleepers often need softer comfort layers, while heavier sleepers usually do better with a medium feel and stronger support. Hybrids with a softer top layer often work well for side sleepers because they allow contouring without that stuck feeling some people get from dense memory foam. There really isn’t one universal best mattress for side sleepers. It’s more about how those layers work together for your body.
Hey, I test and review mattresses for work. If you're mostly wanting to stay online, I would check out the Helix mattresses. They've got a wide range of hybrids that work for pretty much any sleeping position. As a back sleeper, I'm thinking the Helix Midnight will be best for you. It's also within your price range. I also like the Saatva Classic, but that's going to be a bit outside your price range. The Nectar is also solid, but that depends on whether you like a memory foam feel or not. If you do with a Nectar and sleep on your back, the Nectar Classic or Nectar Premier are your best bet.
I spent literal months trying to find a mattress I liked. I finally ended up with a Nectar Premier Hybrid and I have never had better sleep in my life. Obviously, everyone is different and likes different things, but as a strict side sleeper, this bed is everything to me. I use the tencel sheets from Target too and it’s absolute heaven. I don’t work for Nectar or Target either- this is just an honest response from someone who struggled so much to find the right mattress. Also, watch out for Mattress Firm- and nobody come for me because this is MY experience and I’m allowed to share it- they sell that “trial period” hard but the fine print reads that there’s a hefty charge attached to that and they send people to inspect and look for reasons to decline your return. I didn’t buy from them because of this- I bought directly from Nectar and I did have to return a mattress that arrived damaged. The process was quick and easy with no headaches. I also hear Costco is great with returns. Ok, I’m done- but seriously, I’m obsessed with my bed!
Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well! I am a bigger sleeper. I weigh around 300lbs and am a stomach sleeper, and also like sleeping on my side. I have tried 2 different mattresses from Mattress Firm and both have caused me back pain. *1.Nectar Premier Hybrid 5.1 Mattress* \^ This I felt is too soft and caused my hips to sink 2. *Beautyrest PressureSmart™ 2.0 Firm 11" Mattress* \^ I still wake up with back pain my hips still feel like they sink a bit, if I try to sleep on my side my side or back still hurts. I am planning on returning this and just paying whatever restocking fee they charge me. While I was in college, I slept on *Sweetnight Hybrid Mattress, 10 Inch Full-Size Mattress In a Box* and it was pretty good, I do not remember having any back pain. I used to sleep on a different mattress before college I called Sealy and they said the most comparable is *Sealy Posturepedic® Spring Mattress* so I may go get this one. I honestly just want a mattress that will not hurt my back if I sleep on my stomach. I am probably going to try to move away from Mattress Firm at this point, since I do not want them to think I am doing some weird scam, and I have given them 2 attempts and both have not worked out. I do not think going firmer will help. Any suggestions? I would love to know asap! Thank you all!
