Original Crib Mattress

Love our Sniglar crib! We use it with Newton mattresses - both the essential and the regular one have fit well. I bought a mattress from IKEA for my toddler when we bought a second crib before baby number 2 and it was so thin and flimsy (even for a toddler) I immediately returned it and bought a second Newton. I couldn’t tell you which one it was because it seems like they changed all the names recently but I think it was a mid priced one. I generally live by the rule that you should invest in things that go between you and the ground (ie mattresses, shoes, tires) and it hasn’t failed me yet.

Haven't used that one, we have the newton twin mattress which is great, it is firm and supportive but still comfortable. It is also geenguard gold certified, and completely washable. We have their crib mattress too and the quality is amazing.

Newton worked fine here but the bigger surprise was how much room temperature mattered. We dropped the nursery temp by a couple degrees and our son stopped waking up sweaty even before we changed sleep sacks.

We haven’t really transferred our son into his room cuz I’m not ready yet 🥹 but we do have a mattress for him. We got the Newton baby & toddler mattress one after research and apparently it’s ultra breathable that even if they laid face down, it shouldn’t suffocate? It’s washable as well. Also, I purchased their own sheets so they’re breathable as well. They are expensive but we got it as a registry gift. They have different kinds so we got the $300 one. He didn’t have an issue when we do some naps there. I’m sure there are others similar but to me, I felt more comfortable with this as it’s also durable and doesn’t feel/look cheap. The entire thing comes apart and is washable Good luck 🩵
