First off, as another commenter said, $1,500 is a bit much for a Twin-size mattress. If you have the space, you could get a really nice Queen-size for that price as well. I test out mattresses for work and, if you're primarily a side sleeper, there are a couple other options you could look at: Bear Elite Hybrid (Soft version), Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe (Soft version), Helix Midnight. Those are all in your price range. And, when it comes to cooling and mattresses, there is a lot of marketing speak around that. The Nolah, in my experience, doesn't necessarily sleep "hot", but you'll also need the right sheets and comforter to ensure you don't overheat during the night (if you're a hot sleeper like me).
For the mattress, Nolah Original is great. It works great with adjustable bases and the price point is pretty fair. For the other furniture, definitely check out Buy Nothing groups on Facebook for your area, not just Marketplace.
Nolah Original at $650 for a twin is a geat value, especially during a sale. Their AirFoam holds up better than basic memory foam which matters a lot on a tighter budget.
For 140 lbs as a side sleeper, check the Nolah Original. It's designed for lighter side sleepers and the AirFoam is good at relieving pressure on hips and shoulders.
With your budget, yeah the Nolah Original seems like a good one. And i think most of Nolah’s mattresses are really good for side sleepers. The pressure relief on shoulders and hips is amazing especially if you’re sleeping on your side most of the time.
Nolah’s a good choice for the price and go grab it while it’s on sale!
The Nolah Original is known for giving good pressure relief and being on the softer side which can help with back discomfort. If that’s the feel you’re looking for, then go for it. Also comes with some cooling i think
It's interesting you like the nolah. I actually tried it in the medium model and found it too firm for my shoulders. zoning also does weird things to me since I'm taller. The zone tends to hit the bottom of the torso and causes me pressure.
Since you’re considering a split king, it’s a good idea to choose a mattress that offers the same mattress but in different firmness levels. It comes down to how you like to sleep, but from what you’re considering, Nolah is softer, (and by the way, they still have zones coils in their design.) Bear, is firmer and more responsive than Nolah. They both come in soft, medium, and firm. I’m not sure where to point you just by knowing your weight, but that’s what I can say about those two.
After seeing so many influencer mattress ads lol. Most of the heavily promoted ones are fine? But nolah mattress is a great option that doesn't rely on influencer hype as much. Their foam is supposed to be way more pressure-relieving than regular memory foam (less of that "stuck in quicksand" feeling). The influencer-pushed brands aren't necessarily BAD, but you're often paying for the marketing budget more than actual quality.
