Foam mattresses are all cuttable. Just make sure to get one that is fiberglass free. Process is inflate the mattress, unzip or cut open a seam of the fabric cover, chop to size with an electric turkey knife, then put the fabric cover back on and stitch it shut if needed. We have a 12" thick mattress from Costco that we cut to size for our Murphy bed. It's super nice.
We have 4 Novaform Firm Mattresses from Costco and absolutely love them. Highly recommend
We got the king sized Norafoam a few months ago in firm and it's the best mattress I've slept on as a side sleeper. I highly recommend.
I got a memory foam mattress from a company called Nova. I paid 500 for it over twenty-five years ago and it is still going strong. It's very comfortable, no dust mites, and only needs flipping once in a while. If I needed another one, I would not hesitate to get another.
Nova foam has a really nice firmness that you can also get cushioned by. We tried a medium firm mattress and it was like rocks. This bed accommodates all our sleeping positions. But they will literally give you a full refund and pick up the mattress so if it seems like a good fit get it.
Buy from Costco. The return policy is excellent. We ended up with a hybrid leesa and it has been great. We had memory foam novaform and the Kirkland Stearns and foster and the leesa has been the best. No hop or back pain anymore.
I’ve owned both the Casper and Novaform memory foam mattresses. Loved them both. Went with 3 Casper’s for my new house and am very pleased with the comfort and sleep quality I’m getting
I used to have the same problem. Side sleeper. Switching from a coil mattress to a memory foam mattress has completely ended my shoulder pain. I didn't even think I would like a foam mattress but I would never go back. The one we got is a novaform from Costco. It's in the firm side so it's lasted quite a while without sagging.
Novaform memory foam works well for me. If your box spring is just a box with no springs, keep it. But if your box spring has springs in it then you want to get some y wood and put it on top of the box spring. Memory foam don’t work well with old box springs with the springs in them. Good luck.
I also own a novaform from Costco and it has been amazing for 5 yrs now. Before this I was sleeping on a $4,000+ tempurpedic mattress. The novaform Is just as comfortable if not more so. Oh, and my partner who had back issues everyday before we got the novaform is now dealing with much less back pain. Highly recommend the Novaform.
We have the memory foam mattress. It came rolled up in a box. Can’t believe the comfort and quality. Totally worth it.
