I just bought the novaform elite and the delivery was smooth. I love the mattress. Very worth it to me!
You know, I read that the off gassing is intense, but we didn’t really think so. Maybe someone got a clue and opened the packaging before delivery? We had scheduled a morning delivery and left the window open all day and were able to sleep in it that night. I’m sensitive to smells, and I was fine. I am side sleeper and a hot one and this has improved my rest, significantly. It is quite a beast, so you’ll need deep sheets
I got mine less than a week ago. A bit firm but trying to break it in - feels like good quality. Motion isolation is good on it
Just found it by searching on the full mattress name. [Novaform 16" Legacy Elite Premier Hybrid Euro Top Mattress | Costco](https://www.costco.com/p/-/novaform-16-legacy-elite-premier-hybrid-euro-top-mattress/4000416377?langId=-1) Queen is $1200 and King is $1400 so significantly less than their newish "Platinum Luxury Hybrid" when it's not on sale. The King also weighs 59 lbs less than the Platinum. I just ordered the Platinum on Christmas day. Hopefully, that is still the better mattress.
Got the novaform legacy. One week in and we’re happy with it. It’s nice and firm. Reports of it smelling or “de gassing” for a week are exaggerated. Will report further after a few more weeks
Out of the 9 or so Costco mattresses (Lessa Legends, Novaform, Sealy Posturepedics, S&F, and BeautyRest) I've tried so far, I like this one the most (and hate the Novaform Legacy with a passion). It's weird because my first Costco mattress was the S&F Kirkland Medium pillowtop, and it was mid. I could be remembering incorrectly, or my back is washed after all the mattresses since it's been a while, but I recall it initially being too firm for me and disliking the very divoted (?) patterned top. Either way, it doesn't matter because it ended up sagging/dipping near the hip area after a year. Now that I've slept 2 nights on the S&F Kirkland Firm tight-top version, I can only wish it won't dip like the previous S&F, because it has everything I like: med-firm (imo it's 7.5 or 8/10), the best edge support (out of all tried beds), not-boiling-alive-inducing materials, and excellent motion isolation (might be even better than the S&F Med). The last point is highly desirable because I sleep with my bf (6'0, 200+ lbs), and I'm 95 lbs, so most beds make me roll to one side. The only cons I can think of (which also applies to the Med-ver) are: it's too heavy for me to change sheets, and it's 14'' tall.
The Legacy is a weird mattress that was extremely firm, even for me, who prefers firmer mattresses, but too soft on the edges. The first night was just ok because it's a bed from a box, so it suggested (NOT REQUIRED) 48 hrs for it to expand fully, but the second night was a completely different story. At first, I thought it was because of my weight/stature, but it also caused the same problems for my bf--extreme soreness in the quads and calves when we lay down--and it got progressively worse throughout the night. It felt like we were losing circulation in our legs. After a few more nights, what bothered us was the patterned top because it was steep, frequent, and confusing to lie on: I couldn't properly guide my back or hips to an even/flat-enough surface to sleep on the same plane as the other parts of my body (unlike a usual simple pattern like dots), which I infer, forced my body to scrunch/tighten up to hold a decent posture. So, it was like my body was constantly fighting between relaxing and tensing. In short, my body did not lie evenly on the x and y axis, and that made the mattress feel artificially firmer. As for edge support, I noticed that in all the Novaforms I've tried, it's not what you're buying the bed for. I thought the firmness in the Legacy would be good enough, but if you look at Costco's diagram, there's only foam on the surrounding edges (NOT COILS). Also, logically, idk why I didn't reason that if a mattress can be rolled into a box, how could the edge support be good? I guess the novelty got to me lol. As for the PROS, the Legacy sleeps very cool, has good-quality handles, and it was decent on the first night. The top layer's material also felt soothing to touch and was my favorite part of the bed, but overall, it didn't work well for us.
Stay away from Novaform Legacy. Mine is off gassing six months later. On the bright side, they sent me new pillows since the odor literally stuck to my pillows
Yes. My $200 Costco Beautyrest was 1000x better than my overpriced $3,000 Casper. The Casper was fine for the first year or 2. Despite always having a weird plastic cat-urine odor. Don’t think I’ll do a boxed mattress again. My boxed Novaform (Costco brand) is great but still off-gassing. Good thing about Costco is you can return for a full refund whenever you want
