We are on our second purple after ten years. They are excellent! They do develop an uncomfortable sag over time though that why we replaced it. I have had many different brand but Purple is cool and comfortable.

I love my original Purple mattress. Have heard good things abort the pillows too but haven’t bought them

I could see that as the quality of so many things has decreased. Mine is about 7 years old, I never expected it to last this long but it feels very similar to when I bought it.

We had a purple mattress biggest piece of crap ever. They replaced it twice and then we threw it out.

Ugh I am in the same fricking boat as you. I had a purple mattress for a long time but as I've gotten older it got to be too soft. I'm also a hot sleeper. A few months ago I went through review site after review site. Sleeplikethedead, consumer reports, tons of other ones. Saatva kept coming up. I looked on the site at all the reviews and took the quiz, and decided to take a chance on a Saatva. I was lucky enough to have a store near me to try them out. There were a few I looked at. [Latex Hybrid](https://www.saatva.com/mattresses/saatva-latex-hybrid?sku=7061-5%2F0&qty=1) And [Classic](https://www.saatva.com/mattresses/saatva-classic?sku=7054-5%2F0&qty=1) * Luxury Firm (11.5) - Medium firmness, perfect balance of cushioning and uplifting support. Designed to replicate the feel of luxury hotel beds * Firm (11.5) Lying on top of the mattress rather than sinking in. Balanced resistance that’s never hard on the back and joints * Firm ( 14.5). Ever so slightly more Firm than that. The reviews aren't wrong. It really is a great bed. I would say the Luxury firm If you don't ever end up on your back.. The 11.5 Firm if you do end up on your back, and the 14.5 firm if your back muscles have started getting so tight they make your chest muscles hurt. I went with the 14.5 because I was afraid I'd get it home and after prolonged sleeping it would feel too soft. Honestly I can lay / side sleep without pain pressure on my shoulder. Even the 14.5. My only complaint about this mattress is I haven't yet gotten a new bedframe, I got the foundation because it was cheap, and with the 14.5 I have a princess and the bowling ball situation going on. The top of the mattress is above my hip bone and I have to jump up into bed like some kind of Kevin Hart impressionist. Half of me doesn't want to get a new frame because of the hilarity. Watch a bunch of YouTube reviews as well, but I've been quite happy. With a 1 year trial and a lifetime warranty, and it being less than half the price of my old Purple mattress, it's worth every dollar. They should be having deeper discounts coming up soon as well.

I just tried out the new purples and hated them! They are SO soft now. Instead we went with an Aireloom. The one we chose is more expensive than the purple but I have faith it will last longer and the luxury firm is exactly what we need at this point.

I was going to say we've had our Purple for a long time, but I pulled the receipt and I guess it's only been five years. Still, it feels like new. I'm also pretty heavy, but there are no indentations or wear anywhere.

I’m going to second purple, my parents are going on 5 years with theirs and we’ve had ours for about a year. While it might not be BIFL, it seems like it will be buy it for a long time.
