Sealy Posturepedic Carver 11” Firm. In my opinion, it is extra firm. It has absolutely no give. When I first got it, I thought it might have a break- in period but nope.
We bought one too and are pretty happy with it. Our last mattress was a $5k class mattress which was a hugely well made piece, but after many years got too lumpy. The Sealy is holding up very well. I do make a point of not sitting on the edge as the edge seems to give too much. As it is it very firm out to the edge after 3 years use.
I bought the Novaform "firm" hybrid mattress on the basis of Wirecutter reviews and after a lifetime of sleeping on firm innersprings the memory foam is just a little too soft. I'm a back and side sleeper. Have tried the Sealy Carver innerspring firm mattress I bought my dad and I wound up preferring that. The executive membership for delivery and take away was worth every penny, though.
Same. Also bought a full sized firm Sealy innerspring and box spring, delivered along with my Novaform. The Sealy has also held up really well.
I have the Sealy Carver Firm and I am not a fan. I was going to return it but life got crazy and I am still sleeping on it 2 years later. It is very firm but started to get some dips where I lay before the end of the first year. Not sure how a this hard of a mattress can get sags. For reference I am 5'3' and 125 lbs.
I bought mine at Costco....Sealy posturpedic Carver, firm, it was less than $1000 I love it.
Definitely NOT memory foam. I bought a TempurPedic mattress, and never had worse hip and lower back pain than after sleeping on that. It's now in my guest bedroom, and I sleep comfortably on a nice firm traditional mattress made by Sealy.
We are on an old watered frame with osb covering the frame. We have an old Sealy extra firm king size box spring and mattress. We really liked the set up. But it's about 10 years past it's lifespan. Do you have any recommendations for what to buy and/or where?
I bought the firmest full size available at Sam's, think it's a Sealy. Added a topper and it has been great.
I bought a Sealy Posturepedic for about $2k. Best bed I've ever had. After doing some research I found that the same bed is sold at different stores for different prices under different names. Freedom was the cheapest (where I got it), Davis Jones was the most expensive at $3500.

Oh wow. I've had a Sealy Posturepedic for more years (decades) than I care to admit. It's your basic coil spring mattress that I can flip. Have they dropped in quality that much?
