I’m happy with the Sealy posturepedic Ashbury plush mattress I bought in December on sale at Beds4U. It’s really comfy. I have chronic pain in my back and also had shoulder surgery last year and it relieves pressure points without being so soft that I don’t get good support. Don’t know about partner disturbance with it though. They come in three firmness levels I think, so you don’t need to go for a plush like me.
I went to three different stores to try out mattresses - BedsRUs, Beds4U and also Big Save. The salespeople were all good with me spending plenty of time lying on mattresses, moving into different positions and answering any questions I had. They’ll be able to advise on the best ones for minimising partner disturbance.
It is kind of bewildering with the array of choices (and also hard to do online research because the same mattress could have different names at different stores), but just try plenty out and take the plunge on the one that feels best and fits your budget.
Bought Sealy posturepedic 2 months ago as my back plays up.the mattress has made it much worse. Retreated to spare room and old mattress last night and had best sleep in 2 months and didn't get out of bed feeling crippled. Next time I'll buy from someone that has a trial period.
a shout out for my superking Sealy Posturepedic which is just as flat and awesome as the day i recieved it.

Huh? Mine is a Sealy - and it’s a pocket coil mattress (posture pedic range iirc). I like it personally. My last mattress is also from Sealy but I didn’t have any problem with it🤷🏻♀️
I second Brooklyn bedding, specifically the Sedona models. I have had one for several years after owning some of the other big name (sealy, purple, etc) and they don’t even come close to the support and yet is still very soft. I have one, recommended it to my MIL and she got one and loved it enough to recommend it to her sister, as well… I also have back issues, but this bed is hands down better than the purple that got returned within the 100 day window, better than the sealy posturpedic, as well as every other bed I’ve ever owned or slept in. My problem is that even when going to nice resorts while traveling, I end up missing my bed because it is so comfortable. Plus, as the above response mentioned, this is a local company.
