My Posturepedic hybrid has lasted a year and still feels brand new. I always get compliments on it from my friends. I went on craigslist and found a discount mattress store in Tampa (B&G Mattress & Furniture), and I got it there. Cash price was like $800. But the mattress is worth like almost $2500 from the Sealy website. Maybe **go with a hybrid** next time! I grilled the owner so that I would get one that lasts as long as possible, and he said that’s the one that he has. He described it as firmer being a hybrid, but it’s like the softest thing I’ve ever felt lmao.
I bought a 12" Medium Memory Foam Mattress by Sealy from Wayfair in 2021 and it’s still in great shape! I love it; it’s comfy and doesn’t get lumpy or misshapen.
This. I purchased my king Sealy Posturepedic 12” hybrid mattress from Costco online in December 2023 for about $800. I’m 150 lbs and my husband is 210 and we haven’t experienced any caving. Even moved it across the country this past December standing up in a crate and it didn’t warp. I did a lot of research before buying and don’t regret our purchase one bit. Plus, if it ended up not being the right fit for us I knew I could take it back to Costco with no issues.
I tried out a purple at mattress firm and I didn't like it. We prefer our Posterpedic hybrid
I’m very hot natured as well, which heats things up for my wife. I’m sure you’ll get many suggestions. My wife and I bought a new King mattress and electric bed frame that raises up and down with remote, a few years ago. We opted for a Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid with cooling technology. It has many layers that offer a combination of support. The top portion is differing densities of memory foam. We wanted that because I have a lot of arthritis. It does stay cooler than some mattresses that are just straight memory foam all the way through. I’m 6’2” 250lbs and my wife is tall and slim. But we’re not small people either. Take a couple of weekends to go and lay on mattresses. That’s a must. A decent one isn’t cheap. We didn’t buy the most expensive or the cheapest, but it still hurt my feelings. We just hadn’t bought one in about 25 years at the time. Our only regret is not going a little firmer, as the salesman suggested. Softer feels better when trying out. Lastly, go to a place where they have a bed you can lay on that has sensors which maps your body and all of your pressure points and hot spots. This takes a lot of the guessing out of what you actually need and will feel best when you get it home. We bought from a local high end furniture store who had this. At the time, mattress stores in our area didn’t offer that technology; and where we bought didn’t end up being any more expensive. Hope you find what works best for you all.
The original mattress factory company. We have one. You can flip it too! Had it since February we like it. Although I actually went firmer than I wanted. My partner likes firmer so I thought I’d try it. Might get a topper and see if that’s better for me.
We got a Posturepedic in February but the store we went to was very educational and they shared a lot of information so worth a trip.
This is what we got from them I misspoke looked it up it’s an orthopedic https://preview.redd.it/f1cysst3qnte1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=788869f351396aee3bbc913abacc20143328d703
Ngl I have a posturepedic that’s like 20 years old too (it’s been used on and off, not continuous) and I’m dreading the day I have to find a new one. From what I’ve seen most mattresses aren’t flippable anymore and seem to wear unevenly.
I bought a Sealy Posturepedic for about $2k. Best bed I've ever had. After doing some research I found that the same bed is sold at different stores for different prices under different names. Freedom was the cheapest (where I got it), Davis Jones was the most expensive at $3500.
