My mattress was 4k for a queen. It was basically their top of the line for beautyrest.. but definitely decided to go against pillow top on the one i just ordered. I decided to go with an icomfort again.
Purple feels so weird.. its go a grid and u can feel it underneath you. Check out serta icomfort aspire
I bought a Serra memory foam way back in 2017 still have it, very supportive and sleep like a baby. When we bought it it came with a free motorized adjustable frame.
Wife and I got a Serta Icomfort and don't regret it. However I can't sleep for shit in hotels anymore.
Best mattress I ever had was the serta icomfort.
That's what I got. Still a little hip pain but so far it's the best I've tried. Might get tempur pedic or purple after reading this thread! Just tell me i don't need the $10, 000 purple. Saw that at Mattress firm and couldn't believe anyone was spending that much.
As a fellow side sleeping, hot sleeper, I am right there with you. Went to Sit N Sleep (where I got my last two beds), and now there were charging for delivery and the mattress cover which was previously included with my $1500 purchase. None of the so-called mattresses selected by their mattress matcher setup felt good. Tried like 6 different brands there, and they (note: “they,” not “I”) land with a Simmons World Class Level 4 Firm Pillowtop with tax and delivery and other BS, the total was $1926.86. And the sales guy did not even bother to contact me about their 10% sale. Really wish the sales person who sold me my iConfort was still around, bc I was happy with that mattress. It’s just that it is 12yrs old now and my body has aches that need attention. The mattress I was most happy with was an Ortho Mattress purchase over the phone which I had for 6yrs before I sold it. But have to remember what age my body was when I used it. Because I’m NOT that age anymore. I went to Mattress Firm and they tried to push the TempurBreeze (which I find quite comfortable, but as my other comment here, I have reservations/concerns. They also pushed an upper/top(?) model of Purple, which again was quite comfortable, but just the horror stories of reviews dealing with the company is not drama I want to deal with… I went to Saatva and tried their Classic which is straight up old-school springs and that was not comfortable at all for side sleep. Way too firm. I was surprised how comfortable the RX felt considering it was softer than I normally prefer, but still felt supportive. I did NOT try/was not encouraged to try the Latex Hybrid (which I felt was a saleaperson fail. Sort of had kind of “Pretty Woman” vibes of “I have money and want to buy a mattress.” I was offered bottle water). I may go back to try the Latex Hybrid, bc that is the bed that was suggested by NapLab after I submitted their questionnaire and does have their highest rating for Saatva models. I have been inundated by ads (everywhere on my phone apps) for SweetZZZ Honey mattress. I like all the organic things about it, and cheaper than Saatva, but seeing the sleep model sink so much into the mattress worries me. The one single review I found on reddit, they were happy with the bed a year into it. i am worried about not trying before buying But they do have a great return policy, so I am still contemplating a purchase. Then there are these mattress liquidator peeps on OfferUp. They say these are genuine, new mattresses, but I an little dubious of that. It feels like it might floor models or beds that were returned, but maybe I’m just being overly suspicious bc this one place has so many 5star reviews. The reason I mention is Saatva RX is going for $500, Classic $300, which are way less than buying direct even with using a Rakuten discount. Let me know if you want a $50 incentive signup code obviously, this does has NO warranties, but for the price, I dunno. I am still considering that as an option. FYI Their TempurBreeze price was $1500 (compared to $4500). Costco—wished I could try in store. Which is not impossible, but not easy to do. But the drama with the delivery makes me wary. Which I would have to do, bc there is no way I can haul a mattress from the warehouse. So that’s where I am currently Saatva RX Saatva Latex Hybrid Sweet Zzzz Honey medium-firm TempurBreeze medium-soft In the meantime, Pres sales are over and I’m about laying my aching shoulders and neck on my 14yr old mattress
I have a split king adjustable base and mattress from Tempur-pedic. The model is pro support. Ive had it for 1.5 years, but because of my health problems, it gets heavy use. Best bed I've ever had. I picked a slightly firmer mattress than I otherwise would've because I knew it would get heavy use. It is very comfortable, and I am a hot sleeper. I use bamboo or lyocell sheets and 100% cotton blankets and have no trouble. My husband also loves his bed. He melts into it every night and is snoring in no time..lol. Neither of us wake with sore bodies. This isnt the first memory foam bed we've owned, as we previously had a Serta icomfort from 2016-2024. It was wonderful, and my son owns it now. The full memory foam bed is no longer made by them. Edit to say that i have my adjustable bases inside of a wonderful bed off Wayfair. You just get a frame that doesn't have the inner slats. https://preview.redd.it/swvg9bev9fmf1.jpeg?width=2585&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0ccbfbc02879d41cd5fc4ce52632db844f987ca1
I just bought a serta queen and it is short by 4 inches all around. The sheets do not fit. What a joke.
