steveakacrush 1.0Because the weight is all on one side not across both sleeping positions (even if you sleep diagonally across the bed). I went with a Silentnight Miracoil Orthopaedic mattress - they are rated to 24 stone for a single person (that's the highest I could find). Really comfy to sleep on!
