Either the Plush or Medium-firm version of the Silk & Snow Hybrid if you're looking to maximize bang for your buck. I've got a couple of my friends on the Plush and they love it. The Luxury Firm WinkBed is also great and typically on sale for under 2k. For natural fibers/organic mattresses, I really enjoyed testing the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss. That said, latex beds are a gigantic pain in the ass to move, so I might just settle for something that has an organic cotton cover or something (I think Saatva's Classic bed has one).
Quite by accident. My wife and I got married and needed a new mattress in 2014. I ended up doing a ton of research, had a terrible in-store experience, and bought a mattress online. That first mattress we liked, but it wasn't amazing, so we returned it and then I bought another bed online. It was better so we kept that one. As a fun weekend hobby project I built a website and wrote reviews for those 2 mattresses that I had tried. People really love the reviews and asked me to test other mattresses. So I kept ordering mattresses, testing them, and then writing reviews. It quickly blew up, was getting a ton of traffic, and within a few months I was able to leave my full time job and started my career as a professional mattress tester. My salary is whatever money is left over after I paid for all of the company's expenses, including payroll for my employees. I've been doing this for 12 years, so it seems sustainable to me. I greatly enjoy what I do, get to work with friends and family, and do something that helps people. Really it's a dream job to me.
Silk & Snow Hybrid did fairly well in our tests, earning an above average score. Is it perfect? No, far from it. But given the price it's a solid value. Silk and hybrid rating? ( I have had mine and love it! What would you recommend ones like it?
I purchased earlier this year from silk and snow the hybrid model. So far so good, I prefer a more firmer mattress as well since I’m a side sleeper. And this has been working out good since I purchased it back in Feb.
I was also going to mention the Silk & Snow Hybrid. Went in for the organic, but it was too coily. The Hybrid feels just right. You can test it at certain furniture store locations. Delivery took about 2 or 3 weeks longer than initially estimated. No off-gassijg smell which was nice.
I’m really happy with my silk and snow medium firm hybrid mattress. I would not suggest taking the sleep bundle though, it’s shit. I returned it quickly after and asked them to price match their 15% off sale which took place shortly after I purchased. They begrudgingly obliged after I said I could theoretically return the mattress within 365. Mattress is really nice though! https://www.silkandsnow.com/en-ca/hybrid-mattress/?size=queen&type=firm
