We initially have the simba hybrid pro, and it was crap. Very quickly started developing dips in each side which a significant ridge in the middle. When I looked into their returns policy and saw what level of tolerance they allow as “acceptable” over the years (70mm within the normal life span of the mattress!) we returned it in the money back period. We now have an Emma next gen cooling. Currently going strong but have only had it for 18months at this point.
I got a reconditioned Simba hybrid pro from their eBay page 5 years ago - I rotate it every time I change the covers and it's been fine, perhaps a little sag in the middle, but it was £330ish compared to the £1300 retail for a king-size. I'm a side sleeper and when I got it I probably weighed around 135kg, now I'm 105kg. It's still really comfy and firm at the sides.
Simba hybrid pro has worked pretty well for me, although it's starting to sink a bit now after 5 years - when I bought it I was 135kg, been 108kg for the last couple of years.
Having real issues finding a good mattress me and my partner like. We want something that feels squishy and luxurious when you get in but also supports us properly (we're mid-30s and definitely notice the difference a supportive mattress makes now!) - I don't want to feel like I'm just lying on a flat board and we're both side sleepers and so need some cushioning! We like the feeling of foam but worry about longevity. We've slept on an original foam Emma mattress for a month (when dog-sitting for family) and liked it but have seen loads of reviews about dipping and lacking longevity - if we're going to spend £1000 on a mattress we'd like it to last at least a few years without dipping. We bought a Simba hybrid pro a while ago but it's terrible, I had a Simba pro in the past and loved it (squishy and cloud like but firm) but they must have changed their materials because the new one just feel cheap and hard - there's zero movement isolation and I'm bouncing around every time my partner rolls over so we're going to send it back. I will say we also tried a Simba Luxe (refurbished) and found it incredibly soft - to the point we weren't sure if our one was faulty, so we sent it back within the 30 day window. We also have a Dusk hybrid mattress in our spare room but again, it's just too hard to be comfortable for us and doesn't give us that sink-in feeling. We're gonna get ourselves to Dreams & Bensons to lie on a bunch but wanted to see what brands/mattresses the great British public love.
Simba pros feel amazing to sleep on - not too hard or not too soft
> I hear the Lisa’s and Simbas aren’t actually that great and just have good marketing, I don’t know what to believe at this point … I have the Simba Pro and it’s like sleeping on a cloud. Been great for 3 years now. I actually get a bit upset sleeping elsewhere because it’s a pretty big downgrade.
I did a load of research and went with the Simba Hybird Pro, and we think it's fabulous
