I prefer firm beds however the simba lux felt medium at most , It felt amazing both on back and side. Have only tried it for one night. The 200 day trial is enough to decide if I'll be swapping g it for something firmer

I got the artisan from John Ryan. My husband loves it but it’s not designed for people <9 stone. It’s so firm I slipped a disc badly sleeping on it. Simba luxe is great for me and everyone who visits big or small also prefers it.

Having real issues finding a good mattress me and my partner like. We want something that feels squishy and luxurious when you get in but also supports us properly (we're mid-30s and definitely notice the difference a supportive mattress makes now!) - I don't want to feel like I'm just lying on a flat board and we're both side sleepers and so need some cushioning! We like the feeling of foam but worry about longevity. We've slept on an original foam Emma mattress for a month (when dog-sitting for family) and liked it but have seen loads of reviews about dipping and lacking longevity - if we're going to spend £1000 on a mattress we'd like it to last at least a few years without dipping. We bought a Simba hybrid pro a while ago but it's terrible, I had a Simba pro in the past and loved it (squishy and cloud like but firm) but they must have changed their materials because the new one just feel cheap and hard - there's zero movement isolation and I'm bouncing around every time my partner rolls over so we're going to send it back. I will say we also tried a Simba Luxe (refurbished) and found it incredibly soft - to the point we weren't sure if our one was faulty, so we sent it back within the 30 day window. We also have a Dusk hybrid mattress in our spare room but again, it's just too hard to be comfortable for us and doesn't give us that sink-in feeling. We're gonna get ourselves to Dreams & Bensons to lie on a bunch but wanted to see what brands/mattresses the great British public love.

I’m about to return a second mattress in 8 months after it too has developed a raised hump in the middle. This time it’s the Simba hybrid premium, and yet again there is a big raised hump after 3 months. It feels like I’m sleeping in a cereal bowl, and I have to climb up to see my wife on the other side. FYI I’m not too heavy - 12 stone, 5’9” and my wife 9.5 stone, 5’5” so there’s no reason we should be causing this physically. Can anyone recommend me a specific brand and model which doesn’t end up with a hump in the middle. Please send me a link, price is no issue, I just want a good nights sleep! Edit for those asking: it’s a 2 year old ottoman bed, so there is no slats but a large flat area where the whole mattress sits and lifts up. And we have been rotating as per the instructions. And (sadly) we don’t spend all day in bed. If anything less than average as we have two young kids.

Doesn’t help you but we have a simba hybrid premium superking. Same weights as you, no lump in the middle and over 2 years old.

We’ve had a Dormeo octa spring for 5 or 6 years now and been really happy with it. We returned a Simba in the free trial period because it just wasn’t great.

Oh man, I totally get the back pain and sleeping hot thing. My old mattress was a nightmare for that. I actually ended up trying a simba sleep hybrid a couple of years ago after hearing good things, and honestly, it made a huge difference for me. The combination of springs and foam really does help with support and keeping cool, and I barely notice my partner moving around anymore, which is a lifesaver.

Honestly, I was in the same boat with the back pain and side sleeping, and after trying a few things, I ended up getting a simba sleep mattress, and for me, it's actually been pretty solid for keeping cool and my back feels way better, lol, no sagging issues yet either.
