SleepEZ has The Roma. 9" pure latex.
We purchased from SleepEZ this January. I was really impressed at the attention to detail and commitment making us happy. We bought a king Natural, layered to customize. It's amazing. My hips dont hurt, our backs are better than they've been in years. We haven't been to the chiropractor this year.
Maybe its time to re think memory foam. Its crap, and the quality has only gotten worse since covid. Look into latex. You wont have to return it, its customizable. SleepEZ, Sleep on Latex, Latex for Less, Latex Mattress Factory. No off gassing, totally natural product, no b.s. Or buy one of the ones you mentioned, and in 2 years you'll be back here looking for another mattress. How do I know? I bought all of those, spent a fortune and was mad as hell every time they wouldn't honor their warranties. I FINALLY talked my husband into going the latex route. No more problems. We're set for the next 20 years. Good luck. Choose wisely. The struggle is real.
My SleepEZ mattress is mostly Dunlop. I returned the top layer for a Talalay layer. (That's the greatest thing about these beds...they are 100% customizable.) My husband's side is very firm. He loves it. My side is now perfect and we've got a 20 year warranty. Got a divot or a sag? Call the company and they'll exchange a layer. Its that easy. Im done spending a fortune only to have the memory foam fail in less than 2 years. Side note: My mom had a latex bed around 1950. It became mine in the 60's. I used it till 1989. That same mattress is now sitting in a spare room in New England.
The price they charge has ZERO to do with quality or durability. Its a scam. All of them are b.s. I've had a $5k mattress fall apart in 3 years. Ive had a $3k mattress last 2 years (several times). My bestie spent $3k last Fall. The bed is worthless now with hills and valleys (yes, 6 months later) Another spent $4,500. All the stitching came out, and the Serta people won't do a thing about it. Memory foam is garbage, full of chemicals. Its made very cheaply now, not like 20 years back. We spent A LOT of money in 10 years on mattresses. No more. Look into latex. SleepEZ, Sleep on Latex, Latex for Less. Do some research. Good luck to you.
I bought this about 8 years ago now. Hands down the best mattress I've ever owned or slept on. I don't think i'd ever purchase anything else. They sleep cool, feel soft, but very supportive. They're 'springy' but soft, best of both worlds. Latex is also known to last 20+ years unlike memory foam or most any other styles. I truly believe latex is the superior bed material in every way. Only thing keeping them from being 'mainstream' is allergies to latex, and their weight.. My king mattress weighs like 300lbs This particular model is also flippable having a medium and firm side. Both are way softer feeling than a firm memory foam or spring mattress. I use the medium. [https://sleepez.com/product/roma-latex-mattress/](https://sleepez.com/product/roma-latex-mattress/)
With your budget, and sleep preference, I'd strongly suggest the SleepEZ Roma Latex mattress. Once you order and receive it, they will sell you their latex toppers at 50% off if that's what it takes to dial in the feel and make you a long-term, satisfied customer. I'd suggest the 3” soft Talalay topper. You should be able to do this for well within your stated budget :)
Although I do have a sleepez, I don't have this specific one. The one I linked to is two-sided, with one side firm, the other medium. Adding a 3” soft topper should make it super plush/comfy with the ability to adjust the base layer with a simple flip.
The Roma from SleepEz is really nice and $929 for a full size, my partner and I actually preferred this one to the 3 layer one that they offer. I’ve heard really great things about the Spindle 10” mattress ($1200).
Try sleep ez roma latex mattress. It sleeps cool and you have medium or firm option in one mattress. The back pain that I've struggled with for over 20 years has been reduced from level 9-10 to level 2-3. It sleeps cool and very reasonably priced. I bought it online at sleepez.com. I also have fibromyalgia and I added a plush topper from ez and its the perfect bed now. I placed the soft layer in the cover with the firm base , zipped it and put the medium layer on top. Perfect bed. I haven't slept this well in decades👍
Been struggling for decades with same issue. Recently I got a sleep ez roma latex bed . It really made the difference. I got med/firm option then swapped the firm layer with soft since im mostly side sleeper. Put a pillow between legs. Their bamboo gift pillows are the best pillows I've ever had
"Cooling" is virtually always a lie. I mean, it's true enough for the first minute or two, but like you've noticed, those materials will trap your body heat, and since they aren't actually breathable (being polyester/plastic/petroleum derivatives) there's nowhere for that heat to go. So it collects in the mattress and reflects back at you. Making your bed a steamy swamp by 3am. The key to cooling, or rather, sleeping "temperature neutral," would be natural materials that have the ability to breathe. So: coils/springs, which allow for plenty of airflow. Latex, which has channels cut through it to improve airflow, plus it's all basically a bunch of tiny bubbles anyway. Cotton and/or wool instead of a polyester fabric for the mattress cover itself. I'm a ridiculously hot sleeper. I bought an all-latex mattress a few weeks ago from Sleep EZ. If you like the feel of latex, I'd recommend taking a look at their website and/or giving them a call. I love my new mattress. It doesn't turn to lava while I sleep, it gives me excellent support, and I'm sleeping longer and better than I have in years. (Before this, I spent 6 years sleeping on a supposedly "cooling" memory foam mattress that was entirely too soft, messed up my back, and left me sweating horribly and sleeping even worse.) I also added natural-fiber bedding, of course. I use a mix of cotton percale and linen. And the other big change I made around the same time? I bought a BedJet. It's basically a fan unit that slides under your bed that has an air hose that then points at your feet and blows air (under the bed air is usually the coolest air in the room) over you. I have mine actually blowing into a linen duvet cover, which sort of keeps in the air and allows it to flow over me from toes to nose, so to speak. BedJet sells a specialty 2-layer sheet that works perfectly with their machine, and lots of people like that, too. But I love the feel of linen, so I'm using my linen duvet cover as a bit of a hack. I then have a lightweight wool comforter in a cotton percale duvet cover over that, again, aiming to hold the airflow around me instead of letting it blow away into the rest of the room. This setup has been a game changer. With everything I've done to make sure my bed/bedding are made of breathable materials, and with the BedJet in place, I'm sleeping so much better. All together, the best investment I've made in myself, ever.
I have both in my house and like both. The Mygreenmattress Kiwi is the hybrid and it sleep much better firmer than my 100% latex mattresses. Neither type has any sagging after a year. Latex mattresses are from SleepEZ with Dunlap on the bottom layer and Talalay on the top two layers.
I bought a latex mattress from Sleep EZ 10 years ago. I also wanted a bed that was not toxic. Unfortunately, timing was such that I wasn't home long enough to get the full mattress experience during the trial period; so I was stuck with an expensive mattress. I am 5'3" 115#, and they suggested my comfort level would be bottom firm Dunlop, middle medium Dunlop, and top soft Talalay. It wasn't comfortable, not supportive, and back pain ensued. In the last 10 years, I've tried numerous toppers that helped somewhat. I finally put the firm on top with another topper. Back pain was always an issue, along with tossing and turning. Last November, we stayed in an Airbnb for 6 weeks. I couldn't believe how well I slept, on my side, all night long. The mattress was made in Indonesia (yes, it had fiberglass). It had an inner spring unit with a foam pad, and the support was stellar. After finding that I could be pain-free, I started looking for a mattress. I tried the Helix Midnight Core, but my hips sank and caused severe back and sciatic pain. I had to sleep on the couch to get any sleep. While searching online, I found Engineered Sleep. Customer service was awesome! They recommended the 12" Classic Hybrid affordable mattress in the cushion-firm, and expedited the delivery date as I was so miserable. The mattress expanded quickly to shape with no off-gassing. This mattress has alleviated the back pain, and sleeping for 7-8 hours is something that I haven't had the luxury of for many years. I am 70 years old and am grateful to have stumbled across this mattress maker. I recommend you give them a call and speak to them. You have nothing to lose, as they also have a trial period.
