This doesn't answer your question directly. I paid for a sleep number bed around 2005 and am still using it. It is the perfect bed, as firm or plush and needed. On my model the top unzips for cleaning (when is the last time you could clean a mattress?). Without springs, there aren't any spring related issues. Not being made of foam, there are no break down issues. There is foam inside around the air chambers, and a memory foam pillow top, but all of those pieces can be removed and replaced if needed (not needed so far). They have a 15 year warranty. Around year 13 there was an issue with the air unit, they replaced it with a new one - giving us additional features. It is more than the $1,000 you were asking about, but it may last long enough to make up the difference.
I have a sleep number bed that's adjustable for firmness for each side. I almost never feel my very restless husband move around at night unless he kicks me. This is the second one I've had, we moved up a size, so I've had these types of mattresses for 25+ years so while they're expensive, you're not going to have to replace it for a long time. (the old one went to the guest room). The thing I like best about it is when I've hurt my back and thought I needed it harder or softer, I could just change it. Didn't have to get a new mattress for a temporary condition. I call it the "no regrets" mattress.
I like my Nectar mattress that I got on Amazon for less than $700. I prefer it x100 to the SleepNumber that I spent thousands on.
It was okay for me. I found it caused me to play with the numbers a bunch, and it was very hot in the summers. I also think at one or two points over the years I had to patch it. It also sometimes would lose calibration.
Weird all these recommendations, multiple repeat brands, mentioned several times and Sleep Number not mentioned once. I know I wish I never bought mine. You know how when you build a piece of furniture they include extra parts in case you loose one or whatever. I think Sleep Number should include an extra set of air bladders. Trust me you’ll need them, probably within the first two years like me. At least the customer service quality matches the product. Trust me look elsewhere.
Me too. I love that I can adjust it based on how I am feeling.
I love my Sleep number and I've had it since like 2018 and I am a bigger olus size person.
We’ve also had ours for 15 years and it’s been one of the best things we’ve ever bought. My wife and I have completely different mattress support needs and being able to adjust each side differently is a must have. No sagging or foam wearing out. It’s also 100x easier to move compared to a traditional or foam mattress!
I love my sleep number.
We just got one and feel completely scammed
