I’m stuck with this and not sure what I’m doing wrong anymore. I go to bed fine, room is cool, AC is running, but a few hours later I wake up feeling warm like the mattress is holding heat under me.
It’s not full sweating most nights, just uncomfortable enough that I keep waking up and can’t stay asleep properly. I’ve already tried different mattresses, toppers, and bedding changes and nothing really seems to last through Phoenix summers.
Has anyone here found something that works long term in this heat? I keep seeing people mention adjustable air chamber mattresses as better for temperature control since they don’t trap heat like foam, but I don’t know if that’s really noticeable in real life.
I would really appreciate honest experiences from people in Phoenix because I’m running out of ideas.
Update: Thanks for all the inputs. I tried the Sleep Number ClimateCool and it actually helped a lot with that overheating at night. The adjustable firmness plus the active cooling made it more comfortable and I wasn’t waking up as warm anymore.
Me too! I love my sleep number bed! Best investment ever! I’ve had mine for 11 years now and have had zero issues. I did splurge a few years ago and bought the Dual Temp layer that blows cold (or warm) air. Game changer, I don’t get nearly as hot as I used to.
The nice thing about Sleep Number beds is all the parts are replaceable. I highly recommend visiting a store to check them out.
I’m not a Sleep Number shill, I promise. I bought one eighteen months ago with an adjustable frame and I’ve never slept better. I wake in the same position that I fell asleep in with no pressure point aches or pain and head up so no more GERD wake ups. They are not cheap, but I got what I paid for.
