Climate Cool from Sleep Number. 100%
I’m stuck with this and not sure what I’m doing wrong anymore. I go to bed fine, room is cool, AC is running, but a few hours later I wake up feeling warm like the mattress is holding heat under me. It’s not full sweating most nights, just uncomfortable enough that I keep waking up and can’t stay asleep properly. I’ve already tried different mattresses, toppers, and bedding changes and nothing really seems to last through Phoenix summers. Has anyone here found something that works long term in this heat? I keep seeing people mention adjustable air chamber mattresses as better for temperature control since they don’t trap heat like foam, but I don’t know if that’s really noticeable in real life. I would really appreciate honest experiences from people in Phoenix because I’m running out of ideas. Update: Thanks for all the inputs. I tried the Sleep Number ClimateCool and it actually helped a lot with that overheating at night. The adjustable firmness plus the active cooling made it more comfortable and I wasn’t waking up as warm anymore.
I have a sleep number/split king. Great bed, expensive but it will last a long time. My first sleep number I gave to my daughter.
I’ve had 3 spine surgeries among a ton of other medical stuff (doing pretty well now) and we got a Sleep Number Cal-King Full Split years ago and it has been worth every penny. I love being able to control how firm/soft my bed is and if I need my head or feet raised it just takes a tap to make it so. My husband just has normal pain when he over does things, but he loves to be able to adjust everything too so no matter what he’s doing (working on his laptop, reading, watching TV) he’s positioned comfortably. Plus it doesn’t get a big divot in it like our former traditional mattresses.
We've got a split head Sleep Number and it's been great. Can adjust firmness easily. Can put a pad on it if you want. Has really worked out for us.
i bought a king size sleep-number 16 years ago, mostly because i couldn't get a king size mattress up the stairs and around the corner. I will never go back to a steel spring mattress. it comes apart and you can wash the cover. you can replace pieces if they wear out. It really is a BIFL purchase.
