This FTW. Like I'm really surprised why ppl cheap out on beds when you spend a decent amount of your life on one. I got the P5 King, which hey now being divorced, man I never felt more at peace fitting in a king size bed.
Sleep number. I bought my p5 about a decade ago, and I will never have another mattress. And since these are modular, I could, technically, kind of actually never have another mattress. I have the split king and dual adjustable bases,, and all told it was about 4500. I got the bases at costco for less than half the price, but the mattresses themselves are sleep number. Would I have a split king if I bought another? No, that was bc I was married at the time. I sleep crosswise if I want to. The most annoying part is the sheets for that. But still, I took it with me in the divorce and it's fine. My ex bought another one immediately :D They did not get the split king, although they, ah... could have? I guess :D (Pro tip: be sure to get your OWN sleep number app and profile if you don't want other people knowing how both you and whatever is going on on the other side of the bed sleep :D) Honestly, I have the p5, which is very basic, but I didn't want memory foam, and I don't care if I have the other bells and whistles. (ANd again, it's modular, so you really could hack it and upgrade if you were inclined)
I've had mine and my adjustable (costco) base for a decade, and will never have another type of mattress. I have a p5.
I've had my p5 sleep number for a decade and it is the last mattress I will ever buy. I love it. I also have the adjustable base (but from costco, so about 1/3rd the price). Mine's a split king with a split king base, and if I had been single when I bought it, I'd just do a regular king, but still go with the P5. But the split king is fine, too. Sleep number is also modular, so if parts wear out... you just replace. (Actually, some people gradually "upgrade" into other models, Johnny Cash One-Piece-at-a-Time style, as well...there are whole YouTUbe series devoted to this :D )
I have a Sleep Number P5. It's sort of their basic number and does not include memory foam which I don't like because I am a sweaty hose beast and cannot stand memory foam because I feel like it's eating me alive, even if there's a little bit of it. It's probably 10 years old now and it Remains the best mattress I've ever had. And I'm one of those people that tends to keep mattresses for a very long time if I like them. I have a split King meaning it's two twins. I got it when I was still married. And I liked it so much that I kept it in the divorce. And for what it's worth, my ex-husband also replaced it with one of his own. Although he did not get a split King. And I shouldn't know this, but he forgot to unlink his sleep number account so I had to witness it all haha I do also have the adjustable base. And we got the split King so that each of us could operate our bases independently. The caveat is I bought the base at Costco, and it was about a third of the cost and is exactly the same. It's great because X used to like to sit up to watch TV and I didn't. And I have one bad leg and so being able to put my legs up after surgery or when it was bothering me and not have to disturb somebody else was very convenient. Also I can raise the head just the tiny bit if my hiatal hernia is bothering me. JFC I sound old. Haha This is the basic P5 in the basic head and foot adjustable bed. No heating or cooling or any of that shit. It was handy when I was married because my husband preferred a much softer mattress and I like sleeping on a gulag prison floor. Even now I keep the two halves set differently which is kind of entertaining. But that's what happens when you're a 49 year old single person. Your Entertainment comes in the form of setting different sides of your mattress different firmness levels. But for real, it's been the best mattress I've had. And the nice thing about Sleep Number beds is literally every part of it is in fact modular. If you are so inclined you could gradually, Johnny Cash one piece at a time, upgrade it to a different bed. There are hacks on YouTube to show you how to do that. And on a more practical level it means if something wears out you can replace it.
We have a Sleep Number p6 and love it. Got the split king base with the light and the foot warmer. Bought it in 2019 to level up from our p5 we bought in 2012.
I have a sleep number bed that's adjustable for firmness for each side. I almost never feel my very restless husband move around at night unless he kicks me. This is the second one I've had, we moved up a size, so I've had these types of mattresses for 25+ years so while they're expensive, you're not going to have to replace it for a long time. (the old one went to the guest room). The thing I like best about it is when I've hurt my back and thought I needed it harder or softer, I could just change it. Didn't have to get a new mattress for a temporary condition. I call it the "no regrets" mattress.
We're on our second SleepNumber mattress. First one lasted 12+ years until we decided to upgrade. When the time came, there was no question about buying another SleepNumber. We're 100% happy with SleepNumber beds. The newer one cost approx $4k
7k and worth every penny. Split king sleep number fully adjustable. Haven’t had less pain since my teen years
Same. We purchased one last year and it's been a game changer. People scoff at their price, and yes they are expensive. $6K+ for a bed seems crazy until you experience good rest. We have a split top and it can auto raise if one of us starts to snore or whatever, and it really does work. I sleep better on a firm bed and my wife sleeps better on a soft bed. We each have our side adjusted how we like it. We went through 3 of the other name brand foam beds over the last 5 years trying to find one we liked. We could just never get comfortable.
My husband just paid the big bucks for a Sleep Number 360 with an adjustable base and it's probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.
