yes its so sad my friends temp cloud luxe was the best sleep id ever had. they dont make them anymore. the new ones suck
So the reason other mattresses are fine is bc they are broken in. All mattresses suck at first. I thought I hated my friends tempurpedic the first time I slept over, instant headache. But loved it after 3 months. Same with my boyfriends Ikea mattress and he told me it was cuz its 3 years old so its now firm but soft where as he said it was like granite the first few years. I now go firm, any plush bed these days has no support, it's even a gamble with firm ones. Just get a firm on and a featherbed or topper till its broken in
Spent around $5k on the Tempur-Pedic Cloud Luxe with adjustable base like a decade ago. Someone once told me that most people spend at most an average of an hour a day in their car and will spend $5-100k on it but spend 8-10 hours in bed and only want to spend a few hundred on that. Take that how you will. Its been incredible and a life saver after a string of back injuries and I'll purchase another one from them some day but this one still looks and feels like new.
Zinnus green tea cooling gel mattress from Amazon. Had a high end tempur-pedic cloud luxe for a lot of years. Loved it. Tried my son’s Zinnus when it was time to replace and bought one for a mere fraction of the price. I’m a side sleeper and have no issues. I replaced it once after 4-ish years but when I weigh the cost against the tempur-pedic I’m still legions ahead. Costco sheets. No blanket. It’s not hot. Have one in my RV now, too. FWIW.
We had an amazing Tempurpedic pillow top for 20 years that we replaced with a new Tempurpedic in 2021. It was like sleeping on a concrete slab. No matter what I tried to do with toppers I could not make it work. So three months ago we tested all the Saatvas at the store and went with the 15” RX. I am so happy we did. At first you do have to get used to going back to a bit of a bounce you don’t get with memory foam but since we sleep so deeply it’s not an issue. It’s not like the old springs style bed type bounce. The mattress stays cool and we sleep great. My husband has chronic lower back pain and I am a side sleeper who needs shoulder and hip support. We are both super happy so far.
Temperpedic cloud from Costco
I love Tempurpedic. As a mattress reviewer, I've slept on three models. My favorite is the Cloud, but they all have the Tempur foam, which I've found does an amazing job of contouring to your body. But, it isn't for everyone. Some people are off put by it. I have found they're durable, and the warranty does cover indentation up to 0.75 inches. Most other warranties I've seen are 1.5 inches. https://preview.redd.it/on974f7l5shg1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afc7505ebfbc5d8491eadf11263f2be8cf3474f3
