I got a Tempur around 5 years ago. Haven’t looked back. On sale here: https://www.bedpost.co.nz/product/tempur-one-medium-mattress
We’ve had Saatva and Tempurpedic and ended up selling/returning both. We had a Tempurpedic hybrid though and that’s a huge regret. I think we may have liked the just the standard foam.
I just ordered this and will receive on Friday! I'm sending back a tempur medium supreme non hybrid that I found to squish down way too far and have horrible response and continued to off gas something awful even after a thorough several day air out. The surface of it felt hard as a rock and then you'd slowing sink in and keep slowly sinking in forever! I didn't like it all except it felt fine if you just were laying on your back only. Side and stomach you'd feel somewhat sunken in a bad way. Maybe the firm would have been better but with the off gassing and slow response I moved on all together. I come from using a 2011 Tempur Cloud Supreme from which has a plush surface and excellent response time. Over the years it's lost it's support so I'm on my third try with the Leesa and praying it works! First tried a bear medium hybrid (hard, okay on back but not on side or stomach, too springy!) then when I saw what trouble the return process and iffy warranty stuff could be switched to costco offering for ease and warranty aspect. Good luck!
I went to a mattress store last Saturday. I was testing medium firm memory foam mattresses and the sales person had me try Temperpedic. It was my favorite feeling mattress but is way out of my budget. While there, they had the Firm Temperpedic mentioned above. I like a firm mattress but that thing is like a slab of concrete with a thin foam topper on it.
I love my Costco tempurpedic in medium. Fixed all my wife and my back and neck issues
This is my story! Side-sleeper with an expensive memory foam mattress (Tempurdic) is killing my back.
Oh, yeah, absolutely. Never had an issue with the mediums and softs, but I think I've seen more firms get exchanged than not.
I’m pretty sure this is what we have but in medium firm, initially got it in medium but found it too soft so swapped it for a medium firm. I find the medium firm slightly too firm so I have a topper on my side but the medium was too soft for my husband (and I much prefer the medium firm with a topper to the medium alone). Very happy with it
I’ve slept on Tempurpedic (high end memory foam) as have family members. Some have it twenty years. Some 15. Super comfortable to the point of no tossing and turning. Also have had Stearns and Foster high end (lux estate) for 15-18 years (traditional coils but over 2000 in queen mattress). The most comfortable coil matt I’ve owned. Tempurpedic has a warranty stating you won’t get more than 3/4” body imprint over 10 years. All the other mattresses I’ve owned allow up to 1 3/4” body imprint over 10 years. In many ways you get what you pay for. The more money- the higher quality materials and the comfort lasts much longer. The brands I’ve mention currently run around $3500 for queen mattress.
You're probably better off in the mattress sub. Personally, I went with Tempur-Pedic. I loved it, but I ended up exchanging it mainly for non sleep related reasons. Also my partner kept waking up sore. If you like memory foam, I do think Tempur-Pedic is the best
