Tempur pedic beds are horrible and I feel like the sales people love selling these beds because of the commission. I have owned the luxeadapt hybrid, probreeze medium non hybrid and luxebreeze hybrid. I hated them all. Not only do they all get hot after 2 hrs but these beds are horrible for sex and back support. I am a back and side sleeper and I really tried to love these mattress but I ended up hating all of them. I sold my luxebreeze and bought a Casper Snowmax and I love it! Its soft with excellent support. Its not initially cold like a Tempurpedic but it stays cool through the night. I just hope the Casper last lol. My girlfriend loves the mattress also when we do adult activities.
Tempurpedic is very good for cooling. The probreeze and luxebreeze lineup are wonderful for cooling. I mix that with a set of Rest brand sheet and comforter and pillow cases and I'm finally not waking up sweating.
Our Tempur-pedic was hands down the best purchase my wife and I have ever made. It’s worth every penny. Message me if you’d like a longer explanation but we LOVE our TP.
Reality did you get what you pay for. You buy a cheap bed in the box and it's going to wear down. Based on what you said about how you sleep and my experience in the field of sleep there's a couple of options out there that would last longer for you and give you a better sleep. I would recommend a beautyrest Black series 3 medium or a Tempur-Pedic luxe breeze or a probreeze medium.
Buying a firm mattress and putting a latex topper on it is not going to give you the support and conformity that you need for your sleep it will end up causing you back pain and that topper will break down in a year or so and you'll be right back in the same boat that you're in. Toppers are just Band-Aids if you're going to be concerned about your sleep invest in your sleep you spend 30% of your life in a bed make sure you pick the right one and not just because you think that you've heard a good name and you read paid for reviews about the mattress. You need to go test them out maybe several times lay on them make sure that you have a good return policy and or a warranty that comes with the bed and a company that helps you with those warranties. Is there a misconception a mattress has to be expensive to be good? I sleep better on a Serta Adoring Night Plush mattress I got on a closeout for $600 than I do on a Tempurpedic ProBreeze Medium that was 8 times the price…
If you run hot consider a bit more and look at the ProBreeze as the older adapts can run a little hot.
Also I work at Tempurpedic so take this with a bias, but I also used to work at a bigger retail store that sold several brands, and Nectar was one of the most returned mattresses. To me it’s not comparable.
This. It sucks but the best thing to do is go spend an hour at least trying out different beds in person. If you go off only bad reviews you will never find a new bed.
Find a store that has good reviews about the salespeople there, and let them guide you. They are there to help. Helping you helps them make money, so it’s in their best interests to get it right the first time. Understand certain bed’s quirks, like tempur-pedics take time to break in, Beauty Rest Black have been get lots of returns etc.
