Wife and I moved from a standard king to side-by-side individually adjustable Tempurpedics. LOVE them.
I’ll be upfront that my opinion may sound a little biased since I work for Tempur-Pedic, but I was sleeping on Tempur before I ever worked for them, so my love for the brand didn’t start with the job. Personally, I sleep on a LuxeBreeze Soft with a ProSmart Base, and I genuinely love it. I used to wake up hot, and with this setup, I really don’t anymore. That being said, “cooling” in the mattress industry can be kind of misleading. The LuxeBreeze isn’t supposed to feel like an air conditioner underneath you. It’s more about helping regulate excess body heat so you stay closer to a neutral temperature throughout the night. So whether you run hot or even tend to get chilly, the goal is to keep you from waking up kicking the covers off or piling more on. If you’re wanting something that feels more like an actual cooling system, I’d probably look at the ActiveBreeze since that one actually blows cool and/or warm air underneath you. For me though, I’m really happy with what I chose and I wouldn’t trade it. My setup is the LuxeBreeze Soft, ProSmart Base, the ActiveBreeze Water Resistant Protector because it’s insanely breathable, and Rest Evercool sheets for a little extra cooling help. It’s been a great sleep system for me.
My grandparents absolutely love Stearns & Foster mattresses. While I do prefer my super soft Tempur-Pedic mattress, whenever we visit them in Arizona we all sleep great. Once again, I know I am the favorite grandchild because they recently replaced one of the guest bed mattresses with a soft hybrid Stearns & Foster. I would say if you are looking for a more traditional innerspring mattress, I would start with Stearns & Foster.
Tempur-Pedic mattresses are warrantied for ten years, but they can typically last between 12-15 years. I have seen plenty of customers who still have one from 18+ years ago. As someone with back pain after two car accidents, Tempur has been the only one that I could sleep on that actually helps take most of the pain away. The pain never really goes away unfortunately. I opted not to go for spinal disc replacement and instead go for a nerve ablation. Anyways, to answer you question. 1. At least 10 years, but can last longer than that. 2. No, you can not flip them. You can try rotating them if you feel like it may help. 3. That I can't answer, there are a lot of factors that go into recommending mattresses when it comes to someone's personal back pain. I can make some recommendations. If you wanted to stick with Tempur-Pedic I would look at the LuxeAdapt Medium Hybrid. If your okay with jumping ship, then I would look at the Sealy Elite Hybrid. The Sealy is zoned with extra coils that can add extra lift and support to the lower back. Both of those have a nice soft top that can give pressure relief. I wish you both the best of luck, and if you can think of any other questions, feel free to ask,
Tempurpedic is awesome. I have the split cal king and remote controls to raise the head and feet up. Also vibration feature is great on a sore back. Worth the price. I think one of them had a cooling feature which would have been nice but it was costly.
Did my wife and I plan to spend nearly 10x our initial budget when we first laid down on the Tempur Activebreeze? Absolutely not. Has it completely changed our sleep? Absolutely yes. We never wake up cold or hot. The bed just knows. Even without all the bells and whistles, the Tempur product is just so much better than all of the other mattresses both of us have ever owned.
Just went through this. Went to countless stores. Multiple sales people tried telling me which bed was the best with the best warranty. I finally noticed that a hybrid was the type of bed I found to be the most comfortable. First noticed the sealy medium hybrid. Then figured I would just lay on a tempur medium hybrid. Loved both. Was nervous, reading that hybrids sleep hot. I ended up getting qoutes on both with adjustable bases. Sealy was around 4200. Tempur was like 6500 or 7k. Really didnt want to spend that much. Hopped online as I live in a city. Found countless wholesalers and resellers selling similar beds. Purchased the sealy first. Medium hybrid. Sealed brand new in plastic for 400. It was queen for my spare bedroom. I felt that I needed to test it out myself for multiple nights before buying a King for my master. Slept through the whole night. Woke up in the same position I fell asleep in. Couldn't get enough. Biggest concern for me is summer with all the reviews stating memory foam sleeps hot. Ended up spending a little extra on a returned tempurpedic medium hybrid cool breeze. I found one for $750. I was very concerned buying a bed that I know was returned from a previous owner within 90 days. But im happy to say I've been getting the best sleep I have ever gotten in my life. Im beyond thrilled. After spending weeks reading and shopping beds, I hope my shared experience can be of some help.

Hip pain and a side sleeper and gif buy tempur pedic breeze ! Sattva is a terrible mattress ! You won’t find it anywhere to try it’s online only Stay away from Simmons beauty rest , Stearns and foster , Serta and Sealy posturepedic . They are all using low density foams that break down in no time . My beautyrest black series 3 plush has broke down in 30 days and caused me a high hospital bill due to rib inflammation.
